Our Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training is a seven-day programme which includes an in-house project designed to provide participants with an understanding of the Six Sigma Green Belt Process and it’s practical application.  Trainees will enhance their current skills by developing a thorough understanding of the DMAIC (Define/Measure/Analyse/Improve/Control) methodology and its applications, creating a culture of problem solving and continuous improvement in their organization. In this way, key personnel become valuable contributors in achieving the larger goals and objectives of their organization. This powerful tool will enable you and your team to identify opportunities for improvement, and assist in the implementation of projects leading to efficiency by equipping key personnel with the expertise and the tools needed to manage and participate in cost reduction projects with innovative solutions.  Trainees will learn how to use data to pinpoint processes that need to be analysed and improved using the Six Sigma Tool sets, with a view to problem solving, increasing operational efficiency, improving productivity and customer satisfaction and the company’s overall business results. Our Lean Six Sigma Green Belt programme incorporates a project to be undertaken in your own organization during and after the training modules. This allows you to apply the tools, in your own working environment, to processes that are known to you, making the training relevant, and also leaving a improvement with measurable results in your organization. MINITAB (trial version can be downloaded free) and Excel software are used by participants during the training sessions and to complete their projects. Structure of the Course This 7-day training programme is divided into three modules as follows:  Define / Measure Phase - 3 days from Nov 25th to 27th, 2024 Analyse Phase - 2 days on January 13th &14th, 2025 Improve / Control Phase - 2 days on February 17th & 18th, 2025 A gap of 4 weeks between each module provides an opportunity for trainees to work on a project within their workplace, applying the methodology and tools learned during the previous module. Extra support can be provided between modules for each trainees with their project work. We provide a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Manual for all delegates, and a Certification is awarded upon completion of the Green Belt training and ONE project by each trainee in which the targeted outcomes have been achieved. An outcome report and/or project presentation which demonstrates the use of the tools and methodology is required. Cost: £1,800 + VAT per person. About this Training Course Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) offers opportunities to improve safety and efficiency in drilling, and it is increasingly recognised by operators and regulators. MPD aims to cost effectively resolve chronic drilling problems that contribute to non-productive time. This 3 full-day course provides participants with an understanding of the MPD techniques and equipment. The course starts with the design requirements for an MPD operation. It covers all MPD methods, including constant bottom hole pressure and mud cap drilling operations. It also includes all of the rig types - both onshore and offshore - and MPD. MPD equipment is presented in detail and the design aspects of the well are also examined. Training Objectives This course aims to provide participants with a good understanding of the various aspects of managed pressure drilling. It also enables participants to gain knowledge of planning MPD operations, type of equipment and the equipment requirements for both onshore and offshore and MPD operations. Trainer Your expert course leader was born and raised in Nijmegen, Netherlands. He holds an MSc in Drilling Engineering from The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen and has over 39 years of oilfield experience. He started in the industry back in 1977 as a Mud logger before becoming a wellsite drilling engineer in 1980 working mainly in the Middle East and West Africa. In 1988, he joined Shell in in the Southern North Sea. In 1995, he joined Smedvig in Norway and worked on a number of deepwater wells as well as on underbalanced drilling operations. In 1999, he started Leading Edge Advantage in Aberdeen and worked in coiled tubing, underbalanced and managed pressure drilling. In 2004, he joined Weatherford as Regional Engineering Manager in Singapore and developed the first ultra deepwater MPD systems. In 2010, he joined SPT Group specializing in well control and hydraulics modelling. SPT Group was later acquired by Schlumberger in 2012. At Schlumberger, he was Drilling Adviser, with a focus on well control, relief well planning and MPD. During that time, he was also an instructor for NExT teaching numerous well engineering courses. In 2015, he joined Wild Well as Engineering Manager in Asia and in February 2017, he became an independent consultant concentrating on provision of drilling engineering training. He has written and presented numerous papers and authored several chapters in the SPE Advanced Technology books. He is an active committee member and speaker on numerous SPE Workshops around the world. This usually entails a series of visits focused on getting the person out and about to increase confidence, social skills and presence in their local community and to pursue goals and dreams. Usually, the work is carried out under the close clinical supervision of a practicing psychologist. Course Category Inclusion Person Centred Planning Visioning and Problem Solving Peer Support Description Person Centred Rehabilitation Person centred rehabilitation is designed to create a better life for an individual by the provision of an intense input designed to being about social change. This usually entails a series of visits focused on getting the person out and about to increase confidence, social skills and presence in their local community and to pursue goals and dreams. Usually, the work is carried out under the close clinical supervision of a practicing psychologist. PERSON CENTRED PLANNING A Person Centred Planning event would be carried out using the PATH or MAP process – majoring on dreams and goal setting leading to precise action planning. Facilitators would carry out the PATH or other person centred process. A large graphic will be one of the outcomes of the meetings this is a great visual record and a shared memory of the event. This will also inform the priorities for the later follow up inclusion facilitation work. Following the PATH event a ‘scoping report’ is created outlining what Inclusion Facilitation could offer and highlighting what dreams and goals the individual has. INCLUSION FACILITATION The PATH is also provides a good opportunity for the Facilitator to meet the focus person in a comfortable positive environment. Agreed visits from the Inclusion Facilitator are then carried out over a 3 month period. After this intensive input the Inclusion Facilitator will hand over to the existing family, carers and PA team to carry on where he or she has left off. This transition time is planned from the outset. An experienced psychologist needs to be there to support the facilitator at all times and will guide all work done by the inclusion facilitator. Is this just Support work? No! This is proactive engagement – doing whatever is required. This is not passively or reactively providing what is asked for – we are actively pursuing a good life for the individual. The work is built on careful research around a person’s interests and what opportunities exist locally There is community mapping There is work to tackle an individual’s own resistance and reluctance to engage more socially There is a need to engage with people in social settings that the individual attends to build bridges and connections – we are bridge builders You will need to build circles around a person There is a need to create the conditions in which friendships can flourish There is a need for direct psychological supervision and support throughout This work is short term and intense. The facilitator’s main aims will vary depending on the dreams and goals of the focus person. The basic aim of the inclusion facilitator is to better the focus person’s quality of life.
