Following the success of The Edge Lane Defibrillator Committee installing two new defibrillators on Edge Lane, Colden, we are putting on a FREE workshop on how to use a defibrillator and provide effective CPR. Colden and Blackshaw Head are lucky to now have 5 public access defibrillators available, so this is a chance to understand more about defibrillators, have a look at one in action, and have a go with a training device. You will have the opportunity to learn hands on CPR and practice on manakins. Please note that this workshop will be held at The New Delight Inn, which will be open, so there will be other members of the public around.

The Emergency First Aid At Work course covers worst case scenarios and some of the more common minor injuries. It is aimed at those working in lower risk areas such as offices and shops. You will need to attend a full 7 hours of trining (breaks included) First Aid Training at Splat is relaxed and enjoyable. We aim to help you learn and support you to get what you need from the day. There are some practical and some multiple-choice assessments but our job is to ensure you have everything you need to pass these easily. Please note that First Aid can be quite physical, you will need to be able to kneel on the floor to perform CPR and Recovery Position. Please wear comfortable clothing you can move around in, and, if possible, please let us know ahead of time if there is anything we can do to help support you and your enjoyment of the day.

This course is an infant, adolescent, and adult-certified course FOR A GROUP AT YOUR LOCATION OR OURS. First Aid/CPR/AED/Bleeding Control course certified. This is a group course designed for business staff training, churches, sporting venues, and anywhere where CPR/First Aid/AED/Bleeding Control is required.

QA First Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) Re-qualification This 2 day, onsite course is £120 per person, with a minimum of 6 learners on the course.. A cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time. Every second matters and this course will give you the confidence to act quickly and effectively. Most importantly, the course will also teach defibrillator operators how to perform effective CPR.

First Aid at Work - Annual Refresher

The Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed for those wishing to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. Throughout this 1 day course, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including administering CPR, using a defibrillator, dealing with wounds and bleeding, minor injuries and more.

You have 2 options here: Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) is a 1 day course designed to prepere you for worst case scenarios with children and babies. 1 day face to face 9am untill 4pm Paediatric First Aid Blended (PFAB) is a 2 day course covering everything from EPFA above and adding on a range of additional conditions and injuries you may need to deal with when caring for children. 2 days, 1 online in your own time and 1 classroom day 9am to 5.15 pm First Aid Training is a relaxed and enjoyable day, assessment will not be stressful, we aim to help you learn and support you to get what you need from the day. This qualification is for unsupported outdoor or adventure activity leaders, typically operating in situations where help is less than a few hours away, e.g. outdoor instructors, outdoor learning practitioners, mountain leaders, Duke of Edinburgh assessors, bushcraft instructors, forest school leaders, canoe expedition leaders.
