Delve into the deep mysteries of Sacred Geometry - 'Art of the Ever-True', under the gentle guidance of SAOG Studios' senior tutor Daniel Docherty. You will learn how to draw the primary four, five and six fold 'Creation' Diagrams with the traditional geometer's tools of compass and straightedge. You will be introduced to the inherent symbolism of these symmetries and how they may be developed into a myriad of pattern possibilities. The pace of this weekend course will be set with beginners in mind and there will be time to enjoy conversation and colour ... and of course tea, coffee and cake!!!

Pottery workshops are the perfect way to learn and have fun with your friends, family or colleagues while creating handmade ceramic pieces in London. Perfect for team building, socialising with friends, and hen parties. Plus, it’s BYOB!

This set of 6 morning workshops (over 6 weeks) is designed to allow you the opportunity to explore a wide range of techniques to create beautifully unique fused glass jewellery & decorative objects. After a brief introduction to the historical context and language of fused glass you will be guided through using techniques such as scoring, cutting £0& layering sheet & accessory glass, adding mica or oxide powders to create sparkle and bubbles, use of kiln carving to create subtle textures, using inclusions of wire & precious metal foils and painting or stencilling with 'glassline' paints etc. you will create at least 2 pieces per session and these will be fired and ready to add finishing touches on the subsequent session ( pieces made during the final date will be fired & finished and ready for collection after 7 days) we will mainly focus on jewellery but larger items can be made eg. Figurative Sculpture In this day long course we will explore all aspects of creating a life size clay sculpture of a characterful human face. We will also start to explore the creation of a ‘beautiful’ face that you will be able to take home to finish… it can take many hours to complete something as complex. We will be using a special armature unique to the Sculpture Workshop and a wonderfully forgiving specialist clay. We’ll explore how expression and emotion manifest on the face. This workshop is great fun and light hearted, we don’t use jargon or judgement, anyone of any ability can join us and have a brilliant time engaging with their own creative potential.
