This is a fun beginner&#39;s taster class using powdered enamels on copper shapes. Depending on the complexity of your pieces, you can usually make around 2-3 fused glass items of your choice including jewellery, coasters, hanging panels, tree decorations; 1 small stained glass panel (including copper foiling and soldering) and 3 pieces of enamelled copper jewellery (sifted powdered glass onto copper shapes and fired yourself in the kiln). Our courses are social and interactive whether delivered online or in-person. Our aim is to introduce and build crafting skills and the basic skills needed for success in the workplace and at home, including self-confidence, problem solving, communicating in a group, basic maths and English. We teach over 45 different paper craft and mixed media techniques. Each course is carefully constructed to help you develop your crafting skills and knowledge.
Crafting and our courses are mindful, taking us away from the day-to-day. Participants have consistently reported improvements in their wellbeing. Anyone who wants to learn new skills can join our programmes. No previous experience of papercrafting or mixed media work is needed. We have delivered courses successfully in Cambridgeshire for 6 1/2 years and have worked with 280 Cambridges residents during this time. 86% of participants state that what we offer has helped to improve their wellbeing. 75% state that it has made a positive difference to their daily lives.

The Cademy calenda/description states that this course is over 14 weeks. This is because the 10 weeks of the course are delivered over 13 weeks, during 3 of which, Craft4Smiles is closed for holidays!

A standalone 10 week/session course that will introduce you to the basic materials, tools, equipment and techniques used in paper crafting and mixed media work and to Craft4Smiles C.I.C and our tutors.  You will be sent all the materials and equipment needed to complete the course. At the end of each lesson you will have a crafted item to take away to keep or show family and friends. You will be told about the other courses you offer so that you can make an informed choice about further learning.

This free event focuses on this year's Externally Set Assignment briefs for the A-LEVEL Fashion & Textiles courses. It is an opportunity for you to not just to learn from others, but also to contribute to a really collaborative environment, where everyone is able to take something helpful back to their respective students and schools. 
We are not specialists in each of the different exam boards and we recommend that you refer to your own board's latest official guidance for the most accurate and up-to-date information. To maximise our time together, we will be organising four breakout rooms, for AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas. You need to have your ESA briefs accessible, to have already read this and perhaps some ideas ready to contribute to the groups collective mind mapping.
This is a precious time for everyone to share experiences and gather inspiration.

Sinds kort vindt men crowdfunding steeds vaker terug als vorm van “alternatieve financieringen”. Crowdfunding is een vorm van collaboratieve of participatieve financiering van een project via een groot aantal kleine investeerders. Vandaar het woord “crowd” (menigte).
In deze workshop gaan we in op de verschillende fases van een geslaagde fondsenwerving, geven we tips & tricks voor, maar ook voorbeelden van crowdfunding. 
We zoomen ook in op het platform dat door LUCA School of Arts werd ontwikkeld in samenwerking met KOALECT.
