If you've grown up with pets, you will know how quickly they become a part of the family and how they really do 'touch your heart'. This pattern has been created to capture the playful nature of the cat as he reaches out for your heart.

In this class, we will cover raw edge appliqué, sewing a flange and quilting. 
You can choose to create a wall hanging or a cushion cover. If you decide to create a cushion cover, you will also learn how to insert a zip. You will see that zips do not have to be scary. We will also cover top stitching and binding.
All materials are provided

'You Touched My Heart' Appliqué class is a great introduction to raw edge appliqué, quilting, adding a flange and top stitching.  For the cushion, you'll be adding a zip.  This doesn't have to be scary

One of the things I&#39;ve been spending a lot of time doing with some of my learners is showing them how to work their machines. Things like threading and filling bobbins, as well as how to clean the machines and things to check when it doesn&#39;t sew properly. If you have a machine and would like some help getting to know your machine, I am now offering one to one sessions in the studio.They will include: A 2 hour one to one session to cover getting to know your machine, threading, filling bobbins, changing needles, cleaning, experimenting with stitches, stitch length etc and to make a simple tote bag with French Seams and Top Stitching to put into practice, some of the techniques.&nbsp;All materials provided ready cut. On this evening class you will have the opportunity to make a piece of jewellery from silver clay. Silver clay is relatively new to the world of jewellery making, introduced by Mitsubishi in the early 90&rsquo;s. It is made from tiny particles of reclaimed and recycled silver which are mixed with a non toxic organic binder.
The clay can be rolled, textured, moulded and carved. During firing, the binder burns away and the silver particles sinter so you are left with a beautiful piece of solid silver. There are so many possibilities to create some beautiful jewellery.
In your class you will learn some of the basic techniques needed to create silver clay jewellery and shown how to use the required tools in the workshop.
- Designed for beginners - you need no previous experience or skill!
- Small class numbers so you get plenty of tutor time (5 people max).
- The class starts at 6pm and ends at 9pm.
- Most people make a pair of earrings or a pendant.
- Materials included - see more below.
- The Jewellery Business is located in Sheffield City Centre and is a fully equipped jewellery studio.

Hello Everyone,If you have always wanted to try calligraphy but don&#39;t want to commit to a full workshop with me, this is perfect for you.&nbsp;Bring your favourite people (children over 8 are also welcome) and have a go together. &nbsp;I will have worksheets and brushes for you to work though and I will be on hand to answer any questions that might come up.&nbsp;This drop in session is 4hrs long but you can come and go as you please within the window.&nbsp;It will cost &pound;5 per person, Booking is advised if you want your name in calligraphy on the activity packs.

This is an **online** brush calligraphy class designed to be followed using your own tools at home.  
Whether you have a paintbrush and some ink or a brush pen I will guide you through how to use them.

Nicky's aim is to show how easily accessible surface textiles techniques can be for every level of student and how it can be delivered in a fun and engaging way.
She will also introduce you to her online and face-2-face courses with an opportunity to ask questions.

Marbling is great way of introducing a quick and easy surface technique if you have little to no prior experience. Especially good for students who will get immediate exciting and inspiring results.!
A beginner friendly workshop to produce great artwork for textile projects.

oil paint 2 colours
white spirit
glass jar and brush to mix/have a cloth for spills and a table cover
