Our instructor, Louise, is fully qualified as a senior tutor and holds an Art Clay Higher Diploma and has been teaching jewellery making for over ten years. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced jeweller, Louise is on hand to help you create your own cabochon design from silver clay. You'll be guided by Louise to help you make your own pieces for you to treasure and take away! Louise has a relaxed, informal approach with the aim of having fun as well as learning and creating lovely pieces of jewellery. This mosaic workshop for adult beginners is led by Lindsey, who has worked in 3 and 2D design, along with many years experience of teaching art, design and mosaics. During this one day workshop you will learn how to apply a range of tiles using the direct method onto an MDF or plywood base. There will be a large collection of tile material to choose from and you don’t need any previous design or craft experience. You will learn how to create a colourful mosaic design, use tile nippers safely and learn how to apply tiles to a backing board. There will be a choice of bases to work on. The aim is to explore this fascinating craft in a relaxed and friendly environment.
