Barts Health NHS Trust will be running its inaugural Level 4 Children Safeguarding training day at the Education Academy of the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, London on the 10th October 2025. The course is aimed at Named Professionals in Children’s Safeguarding who are already established in role but need to keep their learning up to date at level 4 in line with the Safeguarding Children and Young People: Roles and Competencies for Healthcare Staff (Intercollegiate Document). The course will be a mixture of presentations from expert speakers, which will cover a number of hot topics in children’s safeguarding and a series of workshops which be facilitated by experts but where the emphasis will be on shared learning from the expertise all participants will bring to the course.

Your risk assessments of First Aid needs may well identify the need for Emergency First Aiders at Work (EFAW) either as an addition to your First Aiders (3-day), or where your Company activities are low risk. A lot of our Clients have requested this course as extra cover when working on construction sites or similar works covered by the Principal Contractors trained site first aiders and for smaller works. Aims To give a basic knowledge to help you deal with any Emergency First Aid at Work. Course Content • Responsibilities and reporting • Assessment of the situation • Basic hygiene in First Aid • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty • Resuscitation and AED (defib) • Heart attacks • Bleeding • Minor injuries • Choking • Shock • Seizures. Prerequisites None - The course is intended either as an introduction or as a refresher. Assessment Delegates will be required to pass a multiple-choice test at the end of the training. (In addition, the HSE strongly recommend that all students undergo an annual refresher programme of about 3 hours, although this is not mandatory). Certificate On successful completion of the course, all delegates will receive a certificate of attendance.
