Cyclum Vitae (Latin for ‘Life Cycle’) is a hands-on, team-based board game that turns the complex Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) process into a fun, interactive challenge. Designed by sustainability experts at Cenex Nederland, the game helps players balance environmental impact, time, and cost, while navigating the journey of a product from raw materials to end-of-life. You will have to adapt your strategy, trade with others and make tough compromises to stay in the game. Every decision counts.

But…What actually is a Life Cycle Assessment? LCA is like a sustainability detective story. It traces a product’s environmental impact from the cradle (raw materials needed for the product) to the use phase (life of the product) and finally to the grave (end-of-life of the product).

Learn to make colourful monotype prints without the need for a press. 
In this 3-hour workshop, Lou Davis will take you through how to make a gelatin (vege-gel) printing plate which can be used to print beautiful and colourful works of art.&nbsp;We&rsquo;ll cover a number of techniques including using stencils and masks, adding texture with botanicals and found objects and using household items for mark making and using home-made foam stamps.
We&rsquo;ll then take our completed prints and use them to create unique greeting cards.&nbsp;You will take home a set of up to 10 hand-printed, one-off greeting cards with envelopes. Learn to make colourful monotype gelli prints with local artist and printmaker Lou Davis at The Arienas Collective in Edinburgh's beautiful Georgian New Town City Centre.

Create two unique hallmark quality silver rings on this intermediate level workshop with Edinburgh-based silver clay jewellery expert Anna Campbell.
Using silver clay, a material made up of recycled silver particles, an organic binder and water, you will learn how to make two different types of fine silver rings. Anna will take you through all the steps needed to create your own pieces ready for firing.&nbsp;
You will complete two projects: a flat band ring, and a D profile ring (as shown in the photographs). You will learn how to design your rings, calculate your size to take shrinkage into account, make your own bespoke pieces and embellish with textures and a gemstone. If you want to make a ring for someone else please remember to check their ring size before coming!&nbsp;
Your rings will be taken away for kiln firing at the end of the session and will be posted to you within one week (It is recommended that rings are kiln fired rather than torch fired). Alternatively, your rings can be collected from The Arienas Collective by arrangement.
This workshop is suitable for those that have completed our half day silver clay taster or full day beginners workshops, or have some experience of working with silver clay. If you are unsure about whether it&rsquo;s suitable for you, please contact us before booking.

Create your own silver rings: a full-day jewellery workshop.
You’ll be guided by Anna Campbell, one of the UK’s leading metal clay instructors, in this inspiring one-day workshop. Designed for those who have completed a beginner’s course or have some experience working with metal clay, this intermediate-level class will take your jewellery-making skills to the next level. 
Over the course of the day, you’ll craft two beautiful silver rings, each showcasing different techniques. This hands-on workshop will provide you with expert guidance as you explore new ways to create and refine your designs in silver clay.
Here’s what you’ll create and learn:
Flat band ring. Start by making a classic flat band ring, which is sleek and flat all the way around. This project will introduce you to essential ring-making techniques, including how to size your ring for a perfect fit and work with silver clay to shape and refine your design. You will be able to texture and embellish this ring to make it unique to you.
D Profile ring. Next, you’ll craft a D profile ring - a design that is flat on the inside and elegantly rounded on the outside. This sophisticated style will allow you to explore more advanced techniques and develop your skills in shaping and finishing.

On this intermediate level&nbsp;boxes and beads class you will make three pieces:

<li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">a Pandora-style silver wrapped bead; and</li>
<li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">a silver lentil bead</li>
</ul>
We will cover creating box pendants with flat or rounded sides, using moulds to make decorations, designing the front and back of a piece, making bails, as well as different types of unique silver beads.&nbsp;
You will torch fire all your pieces so they are completed, and ready to take home by the end of the workshop.
The class size is&nbsp;kept small to ensure you have plenty of supervised practice, and Anna&nbsp;will also share lots of hints and tips. By the end of the day, you should have the confidence and skill to start making silver boxes and beads from home.
This full-day intermediate workshop is suitable for anyone who has attended a&nbsp;beginner&rsquo;s silver clay taster&nbsp;or Introduction to silver clay jewellery making workshop, or who has previous experience of working with metal clay.
The introductory price&nbsp;of this workshop&nbsp;includes access to all the equipment you will need, plus&nbsp;all the materials necessary&nbsp;to complete the projects, including 15g of silver clay and a fireable gemstone&nbsp;worth over &pound;30.&nbsp;
You will also be sent full class notes with all the information you need to make pieces at home, including&nbsp;details of where to buy&nbsp;tools and materials.

Designed for those who have completed a beginner’s course or have some experience working with metal clay, this intermediate-level class offers expert guidance, hands-on learning, and plenty of insider tips from Anna Campbell, one of the UK’s leading metal clay instructors.
What is silver metal clay?
Silver clay is a material manufactured from 100% recycled silver, a plant-based organic binder and water. The silver is recycled from X-rays, the photographic industry, electronics etc. It can be moulded and shaped like clay. Once dry, it can be fired and that is when the alchemy happens - the clay turns to solid hallmark quality silver. You don’t need a lot of tools and equipment to get started and all pieces made on this workshop can be fired with a crème brûlée torch.
On this workshop, you’ll design and create two pieces of silver jewellery:
Shadow box pendant. Dive into the world of dimensional design as you craft a beautiful shadow box pendant. You’ll learn how to build depth and structure into your jewellery, creating a piece that’s both eye-catching and full of personal meaning.

Minimum number no refund policy
To ensure we can always pay our creatives a fair fee, we require a minimum number of bookings for each workshop and for this reason bookings are non-refundable. Should we have to cancel due to low numbers, we will offer you the option to swap to an alternative date or workshop, or to request a refund.
We do our very best to avoid cancellations. Since we often get late bookings, we keep our workshops on sale for as long as possible. We realise that some of you travel from afar, so if you book a space and have not yet received an email confirming your workshop is going ahead and need to make plans for your trip, please get in touch before booking any travel or accommodation so we can update you on booking numbers. Learn how to test portable electrical appliances with a qualification in Electrical Equipment Maintenance and Testing. Aimed at practicing electricians this qualification will help and progress individuals within the Electrotechnical industry. This qualification is aimed at those with responsibilities for the maintenance of electrical equipment and for those undertaking practical inspection and testing of electrical equipment. It allows those with the responsibility for the testing and inspection of electrical equipment to gain a qualification suitable to their job role. The qualification allows candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required to inspect and test items of electrical equipment in line with the latest edition of the Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment. If you already work as an electrician it will add another string to your bow and can help you move up in the industry. Learners completing the qualification will have the ability to carry out mandatory responsibilities within the workplace depending on their prior electrical knowledge This level will suit you if you are a practising electrician either involved in, or looking to become involved in, the inspection and testing of electrical equipment. To successfully complete the qualification learners will have to sit an Evolve on-line test comprising of a 50 MCQ and a practical assignment. Healing through Empowerment - Healing Circle

What is the AM2 assessment? The AM2 assessment is an industry recognised trade test designed to evidence that candidates have gained all relevant and safety-critical competencies during their training process. It provides a single standard that has been agreed upon by employers within the electrical industry, giving a reliable and trusted guarantee of safe, high-quality skills for the electrotechnical industry. Who is this for? This is aimed at apprentices who are coming to the end of their training for the JIB apprentice training scheme and the Installation of modern apprenticeships. This course is also for experienced electricians, specifically those who are looking at taking the experienced worker route (AM2E.) There are a range of assessments for candidates based on their level: AM2 – This is for candidates undertaking the JIB mature candidate assessments and those following the level three NVQ who isn’t an apprentice. AM2S – This is for electrotechnical apprentices who are training against the apprenticeship standard AM2E – This is for experienced workers who are completing the experienced worker assessment. Please note: this can only be taken once you have gained the experienced worker qualification, proof must be provided before booking the AM2 assessment. What does this assessment consist of? Overall, the AM2 is an in-depth assessment carrying out tasks to show what you have learnt on your training. It is a practical assessment with five sections (six for AM2E and AM2S) and a short online component. Candidates will be expected to install, connect, terminate, inspect, test, commission and diagnose faults, following installation specifications provided and any relevant statutory and non-statutory regulations on: A three-phase distribution board and subcircuit A central heating/sustainable energy system Lighting and power circuits A data cabling system A safety services circuit and device Installation of containment systems (AM2E and AM2S only) Candidates will complete timed tasks in equipped areas that contain typical electrical installation wiring systems – all work must comply with BS7671 Wiring Regulations, industry best practice, and meet the requirements of relevant health and safety legislation. The assessment will be carried out in strict exam conditions across 2.5 days. Do I need an AM2 certificate to work as an electrician? Apprentices must pass their AM2 test in their final year to complete their apprenticeship. Also, if the apprenticeship standard is not being followed, an AM2 certificate and a level three NVQ is required to gain a gold card. If you are already working as an electrician, you will not need an AM2 certificate. If you are training to be an electrician and are registering for your NVQ level three in Electrical Installation or Maintenance, the electrotechnical diploma now includes the AM2. The AM2 certification is an industry recognised and something that many employers will actively seek when hiring new staff. It can also be attractive to potential customers.
