The Electronics Equipment Repair 1 equips participants with practical “Hands-On” skills relevant to the workplace and the theory required for certification. Participants on successful completion of the course will have the skills and knowledge to: Demonstrate the operation of a wide range of electronic components and circuits and their applications in modern electronic-based equipment such as amplifiers, Hi-Fi systems, stereos, and control systems Construct, test and fault-find the following popular basic circuits: Power supplies, amplifiers, timers, etc. Become competent in the correct use of electronic test and measurement equipment such as Analogue and Digital Multimeter and Oscilloscopes.

An intensive one-year programme that develops the writer’s original voice, embeds professional practice and enhances employability. At LFS you will gain expertise and experience that form the foundations of your professional screenwriting practice. You will forge relationships and develop networks that propel you into the film and television industries. MA Screenwriting focuses on the development of the individual screenwriter’s voice. You will be supported and challenged throughout your one year MA as you explore that voice through your screenwriting. You will work collaboratively within a diverse, international cohort and within the conservatoire atmosphere of LFS. The development of your feature screenplay, at the heart of your MA, is undertaken in small Feature Development Groups of 3 or 4 students, chaired by a tutor. Regular Group meetings are structured around the giving and receiving of feedback and the deep exploration of your feature project from initial idea through several draft screenplays. The ambition and variety of students’ screenplays reflect both the depth of their creativity and the breadth and diversity of their backgrounds and interests. In addition to your feature screenplay you will have opportunities to write short screenplays and to develop a television series idea.

An axe making course is a fantastic way to learn about an ancient craft and create a tool that will last a lifetime.  Over this two day course you will learn the basics of forging as well as the more advanced techniques of punching and drifting the axes eye as well as isolating mass and steel movement.  Once the axe is forged as close as possible to shape we will heat treat and talk about the science and workings of why we do this and then its over to the belt grinders to refine a final edge, the last step is to shape the handle and fit it to your axe!  Courses are £320 Per person per two days. All courses must be paid for a minimum of 14 days in advance to secure the date.  I run a strict cancellation policy. Qualitative Face Fit Testing is a method for checking that a tight fitting facepiece matches an individual’s facial features and can provide an adequate seal to the wearer’s face. This Face Fit Train the Tester course will provide those who require it, the knowledge of how to conduct face fit testing using the Qualitative method. If you provide respiratory protective equipment (RPE) to your employees or are responsible for Health and Safety within your organisation, then it is essential that fit testing is carried out correctly and documentary evidence is recorded to demonstrate the RPE is suitable for the wearer and has passed a fit test. Please note: even though these training courses are referred to as "train the trainer" they are only to provide training to allow the attendees to conduct Qualitative face fit testing, not to enable them to teach the subject themselves.
