About Yoga and Wellbeing Therapy by Anita
Yoga is learning to come back to yourself, finding your own limits, expanding your boundaries and then being able to truly relax into who you are. The word yoga comes from the sanskrit word 'Yuj' which is often translated 'to unite', 'to join' or 'to connect'. All of these associations imply reintegration and re-balancing or bringing oneself to a harmonious state. As we move with breath we not only stretch, but strengthen our whole body, finding ourselves, becoming present as we calm the mind: coming back to equilibrium. My classes will draw on my diverse yoga experience combining the classical teachings of Hatha, Jnana and Raja yoga. These teachings are based on the Yoga Sutras of patanjali and in the lineage of Yogamaharishi Dr. Swami Gitananda Giri Guru Maharaja. With these practices you will experience yoga in its most authentic form. The root of all yoga traditions. Through Pranayama (Breath), Vinyasa (Flow), Asana (Pose), and Relaxation techniques you will develop your body, mind and emotions: improving flexibility, strength and general wellbeing. Everything is taught in a step by step manner and all abilities are welcome! If you have an questions please do not hesitate to get in touch :)
