The Government has introduced mandatory basic first aid training in all state-funded secondary schools in England, as part of Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education
We will teach the students these life-saving skills in a fun, engaging and hands-on way!
Course Contents:
The Roles and Responsibilities of an Emergency Paediatric First Aider
Assessing an Emergency Situation
Providing First Aid to an Unresponsive Casualty
Recovery Position
CPR
Safe Use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
Common Injuries
The government has made basic first aid a mandatory requirement for schools from September 2020
Children and young people are perfectly capable of saving lives
More than a thousand (1,000) lives could be saved each year in the UK if more people knew how to perform effective CPR
Around 80% of Out of Hospital Sudden Cardiac Arrests (OHCAs) occur in the home - so if youngsters were trained to do CPR, they can potentially save their family members' lives
We can run these courses in one, or in sessions of 1 or 1.5 hours in a go
