About Notre Dame High School, Norwich
On behalf of our school community, I would like to offer you a personal welcome to our website. I hope you enjoy exploring it and gain a clearer view about what makes Notre Dame such a great school. We are a high-achieving school with a very special, warm and welcoming ethos, which is recognised by all who visit. We were judged to be ‘outstanding’ in our last Ofsted inspection (September 2011). Founded by the Sisters of Notre Dame in 1864, the values and traditions which they established still influence our culture and development to this day. We are delighted to be active members of the St. John the Baptist Multi-Academy Trust because we recognise that we grow in strength through partnership. This belief was reflected in our successful applications to be both a Teaching School and a Research School. You will see that we are a school that holds the gospel values of Jesus Christ at the centre of everything we try to do. As our Mission Statement says we are "inspired by the love of God and the teachings of Jesus, specifically faith, hope, forgiveness and peace". At Notre Dame we aim to give each young person the greatest opportunities in life. Notre Dame is a school full of learning, compassion, peace, prayer, activity, creativity, passion - a place where children grow to become adults who are successful, caring and wholly educated. We are a welcoming community and encourage visitors to come and see the school for themselves.
