Each kit provides all the materials you will need, step by step instructions and examples of possible finished pieces.The kit and tutorials cover the equivalent of a one day course with the added bonus that you can do it from the comfort of your own home. You will learn to design your own laserable pieces, explore a variety of material settings, and design work in 2D, relief and 3D. You don't need any prior knowledge or experience as I will take you through every step. The absolute joy of lasering is that you can create quality, precision work from just an idea. The laser cutter does all the hard work for you!The workshop involves learning to- use drawing software (CAD) to create designs- set up and send jobs to the laser- experiment with different materials and thicknesses that can be lasered- use the settings to get the style and finish that you choose in a wide variety of materialsTutorials are in Adobe Illustrator but LightBurn tutorials are coming soon! Please message if you would like this option. The tutorials are set on a Versa CO2 laser. Due to the huge range of lasers on the market it is not possible to cover them all but all concepts and principles are the same across lasers and software. You will need access to Adobe Illustrator (there is a Free Trial available on the Adobe website) to use as your laser design software. Having your own laser is ideal but if you don't and you would like to try lasering please message me and we can arrange for some of your designs to be lasered by me once you have completed the tutorials.
