Create your own Paper Mache Angel Workshop This workshop is all about getting creative using your hands and moulding these beautiful impressive wings which will be perfect to decorate your home! At this Two Day Workshop you learn how to create these amazing centre piece Paper Mache Angel Wings which are lit to make gorgeous ambient lights and wall art! Workshop is suitable for age 10 and upwards!  What's included: A basic shaped pair of wing, prepared for you to mould and Paper Mache with us. Embellishment, but it’s up to you what colour you paint them and what you embellish them with. We provide the paint, rhinestones and twinkling lights but it’s your choice how you personalise them...you can use flowers, feathers...just bring them along! A fun creative workshop full of colour for any level and perfect gift! Just bring your keepsake along and discover how you will use Barbola to create your piece of art?  Barbola which was a popular technique found in the 1930's. You may have seen these beautiful vintage pieces? This technique was often found on mirrors, trinket boxes, fire screens and cigarette holders. It was originally made from gesso in the shape of flowers, fruit and leaves. On the day you will learn how to make your own flowers and leaves using moulds and how to make your piece have the charm of the 1930's! We will need any dietary requirements as a luxury cream tea lunch with a pot of tea or fizz will be served.. whatever you prefer! This one day event includes small items for you to work on and materials to create and paint your Barbola like acrylic paints. You can also choose from the whole range of paint from Sophie James Decor. Join Harriet Shepard Art at Harbour View Studio in the heart of Compton Acres gardens to make your own coasters using fluid art techniques. A wellness space is created with relaxing scents and sounds for an immersive experience where you can escape from it all in a world of colour and creativity.  Children 10 and over who have an interest in art, may come along if accompanied by an arty adult.  You will explore two techniques to create 8 coasters, 4 in each style. 1 from the 8 will be selected to be made into printed hardback coasters 3 sets of 4 in a box. 3 Christmas gifts sorted!  All skill levels are welcome. The workshop will include: A relaxing welcome and introduction to techniques Preparing to create on tiles Colour combinations Mixology of paints for the 2 techniques CREATION Selection of Coaster for print You will have the option to have the 8 originals presented in a frame as a piece of art at an additional cost. These can not be used as coasters unless they are heat proof resin coated, this is something we are unable to offer in this studio space but can be discussed with Harriet.  Fluid art can be a messy business! Please wear suitable cloths or bring aprons / overalls - Its often your feet that get caught out . . . gloves will be provided (latex free).  You are welcome to bring your own paints, however I recommend only Amsterdam or Pebeo brands for this style of art.  The studio can be chilly, so layers are recommended!
