At our MA Graduate Show 2025, postgraduate students from Arts University Plymouth will showcase a variety of exciting and dynamic research projects undertaken within our specialist postgraduate community of practice, working across specialisms that include painting, drawing, sculptural installation, moving image, design and ceramics. Work will be displayed in MIRROR gallery at Arts University Plymouth's Tavistock Place campus, and at our Studio 11 Building, on Regent Street (just a two minute walk from our main campus). DATE: Thursday 9th May TIME: 4:30pm LOCATION: Studio A Following a very successful February mixer event, we are pleased to invite Point Blank Music School back in the Summer Term for an official Pitch Evening. The focus will be for final term CFS students to pitch their graduation film ideas to collaborate with music students from Point Blank. Pitching students should think about what style of music they are looking for and the style that would compliment their overall vision. We hope to have a good turnout and welcome back our friends at Point Blank Music School. Please be sure to book in advance if you want to come along to this event.

DATE: 13th February TIME: 4pm LOCATION: Studio A Central Film School are delighted to welcome students from Point Blank Music School to come and take part in a Mixer Event in Studio A on the evening of 13th February. This is an exciting opportunity for you to get to meet and network with other creative students and potential future collaborators. Whether you're looking for a composer for your latest film, or looking for someone to help shoot a music video, this is a great chance to get to know more students around London. Don't miss out, be sure to come along and say hi!

DATE: Monday 15th July TIME: 12:30pm LOCATION: Studio A We will be hosting a meeting to see how many students would be interested in a potential school trip to the Berlin International Film (Berlinale) festival next year, in Spring 2025. Organised by Mark de Valk and Conrad Pollock, this trip will offer you the chance to get to the heart of both the European Film Industry and one of the world's coolest, most vibrant cities. The Berlinale is one of the most prestigious film festivals active today, and you'll be exposed to new releases from around the world, make international connections and get to explore a European capital that's rich in history and culture. Currently we are looking at 5 days and 4 nights overall, with group travel and accommodation together. If you are interested, please join us for this meeting. This trip is open to all CFS students on all courses, and booking will likely take place in Autumn term. Please note, the trip's viability is subject to a minimum number of sign-ups (amount tbc).

Date: Thursday 15th June Time: 4pm Location: Studio A - Landor Road Event Details: Tim Haines is a television producer and director, having worked on several highly-respected documentary and drama productions over a storied career. Tim will speak about the following topics as well as others at the event: Approaches to Documentary How a Documentary Gets Made The Purpose of a Documentary Modern Combinations of CGI & Live Action Throughout students will have the chance to ask questions about the topics being discussed, before wrapping up with a wider Q+A session at the end. A multiple Emmy and BAFTA winner, Tim has worked on many well known series, including: - Walking with Dinosaurs - Director & Producer - Primeval - Producer - The Loch - Producer - Surviving Earth (currently in production) - Producer This is a free event that all students are welcome to attend.
