 The London School of Cardiothoracics was started by surgical  juniors with the assistance of consultant colleagues at St.  Bartholomew’s Hospital. Founded in 2014, LSOC has grown to become a national training organisation, co-ordinating over 15 courses to over 200 participants.                                                                                                     The school’s aims are to:  * Facilitate exposure to the world of Cardiothoracics  * Improve the basic knowledge and understanding of Cardiothoracic surgical procedures  * Teach and improve basic cardiothoracic surgical skills  * Facilitate MDT discussions and learning among Cardiologists, Anaesthetists and Cardiothoracic Surgeons.
