We are Rose & Natalie, the duo behind still studio! We’re both creatives, working in the industry and between us we have more than 15 years experience working in various creative roles and on countless design projects. We both graduated from the Printed Textiles course at Leeds Arts University and have been working alongside each other since 2019. We’ve started still studio this year to create an accessible space for creatives wanting to host workshops and small events in Leeds city centre. We know the barriers that artists can face and we wanted to break some of those down and introduce a space dedicated to the needs of creatives in Leeds and beyond!

I’m Melanie, I deliver a range of creative art and craft workshops in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. As an artist and craftsperson, I enjoy playing with fused glass and textiles. I’m inspired by the array of colour and texture found in nature. The natural wonders and beauty of the sky, water, trees, insects, flowers and the ever changing seasons never fail to amaze me and influence my creative work. I love learning new creative processes and spending time creating art for pleasure and relaxation. I’m a fully qualified secondary school Art and Design teacher with a BA Hons Degree in Fashion and Textiles. Up until the start of 2020 I worked in mainstream education as an Art Teacher for over fifteen years.

We also provide an ever changing selection of makers who support and enrich each main exhibition. We support new and emerging makers as well as more established makers and over our remarkably rich history we have introduced thousands of talented individuals to visitors to the vibrant city of Leeds. Everything on display is for sale so we're a retail space as well as a gallery environment for you to take a mindful moment away from daily life. With work by over 300 designers on display at any one time you're sure to find what you're looking for; whether it be for inspiration, gift buying or simply to while away a peaceful lunch hour.
