Who We Are & Where We Are High Peak School is part of the Kedleston Group and opened in 2014.Our specialist multi-disciplinary team of leaders, carers, therapists and educationalists work seamlessly together. They teach and proactively support pupils who have been subjected to adverse childhood experiences, including trauma, toxic stress and associated mental wellbeing difficulties, aiming to break the cycle of adversity. Children and young people may also come to us because they are challenged by attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, dyslexia, and dyspraxia or moderate and specific learning difficulties. We have a specific provision within the school called the Quiet Learning Zone where we support children and young people who have an autistic spectrum condition including Asperger’s syndrome and those who have communication and sensory difficulties. The environment and teaching approaches are bespoke and tailored to ensure our children and young people thrive and can develop their self-esteem. We have extensive experience of supporting those with attachment disorders or those who have been victims of abuse and neglect. We actively encourage the development of life skills such as staying safe, acting responsibly and being respectful whether that be at school, at home or in the local community. From our beautiful rural location in Cheshire, we offer a unique setting having been converted from a hotel to create innovative and inspiring learning, social, recreational and living spaces.

I've been developing front end web and mobile apps in the United Kingdom for over 10 years. Recently my focus has been developing websites using Gatsby JS & TypeScript with various headless CMS's such as Prismic, Contentful, Headless WordPress, & DatoCMS, to name a few. DatoCMS is by far my favourite headless CMS. I've created a few open source plugins for DatoCMS. My two most popular can be viewed here along with the repos: Font Awesome v5 icons: PluginRepo Responsive widths: PluginRepo As well as contracting for various large SAAS platforms mainly using React JS, Gatsby JS & TypeScript, I'm now compiling and teaching a catalogue of courses on front end web development. Online Courses & Tutorials Way back when I was a junior developer, I was fortunate enough to have been mentored by experts in the field. This allowed me to rapidly progress in my career and understand and architect multiple large projects in my time as an expert front end developer. While I'm still largely involved in contract work, I'm simultaneously passing on the buck and sharing my knowledge. Mick has been doing tai chi for eight years, in that time he has gained much knowledge both internal and external, with very respected teachers. He met his first teacher, Ann Gathercole, under the Longfei Taijiquan Association of Great Britain, she teaches the Yang Style short form, also Chen Style Tai Chi under the Lineage of Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang. He then, after a break away from Tai Chi, found Penang Tai Chi Association who taught the Chen Man Ching Yang 37 step form under teachers Matt & Molly O’Malley but after some thought he decided that he wanted to pursue the Chen Style & found Sifu Clive Spring, who at the time had been teaching for over 35 years in different styles of martial arts, including Chen Style Tai Chi, but after much consideration he wanted to find his first teacher Ann Gathercole again with whom he had been back training with for the last 6 years & has been lucky enough to have also trained with some highly respected teachers along the way. Mick has trained with Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang, Master Chen Bing & Master Chen Yingjun at seminars. Also he has trained with Phil Muil & Emma Westlake who are highly respected teachers who teach the Chen Style & Short Yang Style form at Oxford Chen Bing Taiji Academy. Mick has learned different hand forms and weapons. He has also learned many Qigong forms.

My name is Joel Chapman. I am a dance instructor from York, England. I became inspired by Latin and Ballroom dancing at the age of 15 after watching the hit ballroom stage show 'Burn the Floor'. My first few years were spent training in Leeds, where I achieved distinctions in all of my exams and won the national UKA championships. As I became keener to grow and develop as a dancer, I began training at Semley Studios in London, considered to be the most prestigious Latin and Ballroom training centre in the world. Here, I was coached by some of the biggest names in the business, including Strictly come Dancing's Matt and Nicole Cutler. I have also been coached by World Ballroom Champions Kyle Taylor and Scott Draper. Whilst attaining successes in the competitive world, including the UK Quarter Finals and winning the Ballroom category at the Britain's Best Dancer awards, I wanted to invest my energies into teaching. After many years of hard work and determination, I am the go-to Latin and Ballroom teacher in York. Whether you are a couple training for competitions or a retired couple looking for social dance lessons, I can offer you classes to suit your needs. Welcome to Kemp Pilates! I've been teaching Pilates since 2005 and practising it long before. I love how it enables you to create freer movement and get out of pain. It works the whole body from the inside out to create a lengthened body, stabilises the joints, and maintains balance, strength and flexibility. I'm an experienced Pilates teacher, having worked with lots of different bodies. Pilates is perfect for recovering from injury or managing and improving on-going conditions. I'm particularly experienced in working with clients with neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's and stroke. I also work with clients with arthritis, osteoporosis, hyper-mobility, scoliosis, slipped discs and more. As a mum of 4 children I know how Pilates can be invaluable in supporting you mentally and physically. I can liaise with medical practitioners for an integrated approach. I offer 1:1 (£50), 2:1(£60) and small group classes (£12pp) from my home studio in East Sussex, in person, or virtually via Zoom or Skype, and out in the forest at Bedgebury Pinetum. I'm also a fully qualified teacher of The Danielle Collins Face Yoga Method comprising facial exercise, relaxation, facial massage, acupressure and wellbeing. I'm a previously P.E hating yoga fanatic who been practising yoga for 24 years and teaching for 7. I always saw myself as a nerdy, non-athletic kid in school until I discovered yoga and the benefits it has on both the body and the mind. When I was going through my teacher training I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Although this diagnosis has been in a lot of ways a negative for me there has also been positives. It has changed the way I practise yoga and the way I teach - it has made me so aware of how yoga can help people with physical limitations like me own, and how it can help people deal with mental affects of these conditions. I am now a Yoga Alliance, British Wheel of Yoga and Yoga Federation of Northern Ireland certified teacher who was nominated for Yoga Provider of the Year 2019 in the Health and Fitness Awards NI and winner of the Yoga Instructor of the Year 2020/2021 in the Prestige awards Northern Ireland, specialising in a completely inclusive yoga, bringing yoga to everyone no matter what your physical limitations are. I bring yoga to people who aren't able to go to a 'standard' class, people who can't leave the house, people who didn't think yoga could ever be something they could do.
