SYLLABUS Everyone attending this course will learn: How to perform a Primary Survey of a casualty using the acronym DRABC How to administer good quality CPR How to use a defibrillator Unconscious casualties Recovery position This is a non-accredited course; however, a Digital Certificate of Attendance will be sent on completion.  First Aid • Life-Saving Skills First Aid Training is not just a Course; it’s a life-saving skill everyone should possess. Introduction to First Aid Age Range: 8yrs – 11yrs Course Length: 90 Minutes Cost:  £20 + vat per child Maximum of 12 SYLLABUS A range of subjects are covered, including:- Responsibilities & Reporting Assessment of the situation Dealing with an unresponsive casualty Basic Hygiene in First-Aid CERTIFICATION Resuscitation & AED Awareness Anatomy Minor injuries Bleeding control Burns Choking Epilepsy Shock Maximum of 12 People All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aiders who can provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner. This accredited One-Day Qualification meets the requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982. The Certificate is valid for 3 years and will expire from the date on the certificate. Where a workplace First Aid Risk Assessment identifies a need for a First Aider in the Workplace.
