This training is aimed at developing Person Centred Planning – for Local Authority, School or Multi Academy Trust professional teams. Parents and carers can also participate in this training. One day introduction to underlying values and practicalities of approach in schools – 100 people 2 Day skill training for 30 participants to learn PATH planning skills 1 day follow up after 3 months to problem solve issues and celebrate what achieved. Person Centred Planning (PCP) is a way of expressing a set of inclusive values through a unique range of tools and techniques. The most commonly used person centred tool with children is a PATH – and it shows these values in action. Why now? The Children and Families Act 2014 sets out clear principles for supporting and involving children and young people in all aspects of the support and planning of their special educational need. The Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice: 0 – 25 years provides the statutory guidance relating to part 3 of the Children and Families Act 2014. Embedded in its principles is the need for a stronger focus on the participation of children, young people and their parents/carers in decision making at both individual and strategic levels. The use of Person Centred Approaches provides the opportunity to fulfil those principles. Working in this way ensures the CYP and their parents/carers are at the centre of all decision making and future planning. It provides an opportunity to engage directly with children and young people to discuss their needs, and plan how they can achieve the best possible outcomes. This should be integral to all planning for children and young people with Special Educational Need and Disability (SEND) throughout their lives. Education Health Care Planning processes are required to be truly person centred at every stage, including annual reviews, so understanding this way of working has never been more essential. Is this different to what we do already? This person-centred way of working offers a radical new approach to visualising planning, empowering and directly involving children and those that care about them throughout planning meetings and allowing for inclusive, creative methodology which builds on and challenges existing practice in schools. In this training, you will learn how to facilitate with a child, family, team or an organisation to think together around their preferred future or about a challenge or issue. Here is an opportunity to experience first-hand the person centred, futures planning tool – PATH (Pearpoint, Forest et. al. 1989). This course will provide participants with a practical introduction to person centred planning and approaches, including examples of best practice in using person centred approaches in schools. The course will explore the underlying values of person centred approaches, provide an introduction to the person centred planning tools and link this to national policy and guidance. The Personal licence Course qualification aim is to provide individuals with essential knowledge of the legal framework surrounding the sale of alcohol in England and Wales.

First Aid - Level 3 First Aid at Work Re-Qualification Three Day Course Cost:  £150 + vat per person Group Booking: 8 people or more £1100 (inclusive of vat). Where a workplace First Aid Risk Assessment identifies a need for a First Aider in the Workplace. This accredited Three-Day Qualification will give the participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982. The Certificate is valid for 3 years and will expire from the date on the certificate. This Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) Level 3 Award qualification is designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. This Level 3 Award (EFAW) course is fully accredited and is statutory qualification specifically designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace.

This Level 4 City and Guilds 2396-01 Design and Verification of Electrical Installations course has been designed to help develop the skills and up date the knowledge of the requirements to enable you to professionally design, erect and then verify an electrical installation. This course is aimed at those who will have responsibility for designing, supervising, installing and testing electrical installations. It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in. If your assessment of first aid needs highlights the need for qualified first aiders, then this level 3 qualification (level 6 in Scotland) will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel. This comprehensive three-day course covers a wide range of first aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with emergency situations with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way. In addition, this course will include any protocol changes that may have arisen since their last training course.

Paediatric First Aid Paediatric First Aid at Work Two Day Course Cost:  £125 + vat per person This course has been developed for those who are working with children and infants. It will be of particular interest to teachers, child minders, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone else who has a responsibility for their welfare whilst in your care. The purpose of the qualification is for the learner to attain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a range of paediatric first-aid situations. This two-day qualification fulfils the requirements for first aid training detailed in the Department for Education’s statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.  SYLLABUS A range of subjects is covered, including: Role of the Paediatric First Aider Primary survey Resuscitation (CPR including the safe use of an AED) Wounds, bleeding and shock Allergic reactions including anaphylaxis Head, neck and back injuries Seizure Choking Minor injuries Recovery position Fractures Foreign bodies Diabetic emergencies Asthma Meningitis Febrile convulsions Extreme cold and heat Electrical incidents Maximum of 12 People Students must be a minimum of 16 years of age to qualify. Numbers A maximum of 12 students can be accommodated on this course. CERTIFICATION The qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. It is recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training. The learner will need to complete the full course again to re-qualify for a further three years.
