Join us for a fun and eco-friendly event where you can learn to create a sustainable Sketchbook/Notebook from recycled Packing Paper.

Are you ready to start a sketchbook? Do you want to be able to use it as a tool for your work and ideas? Do you dream of getting an interview or exam ready, but don't know where to begin? We've got the answer! Our Sketchbook Workshop will help you get started, develop your ideas and help you refine what you already do. We'll help you create a personalised action plan, provide a personalised sketchbook checklist and give you tons of tips and tricks to help you get the most out of your sketchbook and upcoming opportunities.

Here in this Sketchbook Workshop, we believe that art should be fun and accessible to everyone. That's why we have a wide variety of materials and techniques to choose from, so you can find your own style and approach. Our workshops are centered around your interests and needs, so whether you want to learn new skills or gain inspiration for your next project, we'll help you find it. You can find inspiration in the studio or the beautiful countryside it sits in. You'll leave feeling confident to carry on at home

Are you a design or art student? Do you want to make sure your portfolio is up to the standard of the best? Join us for our portfolio workshop! We'll walk you through the process of developing an effective and eye-catching portfolio, and give you some insider tips on how to get noticed in the industry. You'll leave with a well-presented portfolio, an action plan that will help you get into the program of your choice, and interview practice so you can nail that all-important interview. We've got over 20 years of experience teaching design and art students, so we know exactly what it takes to produce work that stands out from the crowd. Our workshops are designed for people who want to know how to prepare for interviews, how to use their portfolio as a marketing tool for their own products, and how to present their work in the best possible light. Our company founder has interviewed for both jobs and degree level courses. She knows what questions they're going ask—and she knows exactly how to answer them!

A fabric manipulation and constructed textiles workshop, for Teachers of GCSE & A Level Textiles, for both Art & Design and Design & Technology.

Join artist Julie Galante for this in-person workshop, where we’ll take inspiration from the historic city of Edinburgh. Participants of all experience levels are welcome for this friendly, small-group experience.  We’ll start with some guided warm-up sketches before moving on to drawing exercises focused on composition, tone, and observation. By the end of the workshop you’ll feel more confident drawing your surroundings, no matter your previous drawing experience.  Please come dressed for the weather, ready to spend time outside. You may also want to bring along a folding stool or a rug to sit on while you draw (there will likely be benches available, but this is unpredictable).  Participants will also need to bring along some basic art supplies:  A sketchbook and/or some drawing paper and board (A4 or larger recommended) Various drawing pens and pencils Charcoal or graphite sticks An eraser Any other favourite art supplies that you may like to use I'll also have some supplies to hand for you to borrow or purchase (please let me know in advance if there's something in particular you need). Locations 24 July 2025: Princes Street Gardens Information about our precise meeting point will be circulated before the workshop. This workshop can take place in various locations around the city. If you have a request for a location for a future date, please get in touch. 

Make your own beautiful hand made paper that can be used later for a small sketchbook or stitch into it to create a personal card or something suitable for framing. All materials and equipment will be provided but you are welcome to bring along pressed flowers grasses or flower seeds of your choice.

About this event If you want to get creative this is the session for you, enjoy yourself playing with materials and exploring ideas with no pressure and pleasant company. Begin your artistic journey by starting a skketch book and doing a little sketch every day.
