COURSE PREREQUISITES This course is designed for qualified permanent makeup artists with experience in the industry. If you are looking for a course suitable for beginners or those new to permanent makeup, learn more about our VTCT Level 4 Micropigmentation course 3D HAIRSTROKE BROWS TRAINING COURSE STRUCTURE: 10 hours e-learning: This self-paced online learning module will cover advanced cosmetic tattooing theory including Health and Safety, Colour Theory, Client Suitability, Consent, Anatomy & Physiology, Treatments and Tools. 1 day of in-house training: This intensive hands-on training day will allow you to apply the theory you've learned in a practical setting. You'll practice the 3D Hairstroke eyebrows technique on latex and later on skin under the guidance of our experienced instructors. STUDENTS WILL LEARN THE FOLLOWING: Advanced Cosmetic Tattooing theory: You'll delve deep into topics such as Health and Safety, Colour Theory, Client Suitability, Consent, Anatomy & Physiology, Treatments and Tools. Pre-drawing: Learn how to sketch the desired eyebrow shape and style before the actual procedure. This is a crucial step in ensuring client satisfaction. Colour mixing: Master the art of mixing pigments to achieve the perfect shade for every client. 3D Hairstroke eyebrows technique: Learn how to create a soft, diffused eyebrow color that enhances the natural beauty of the eyebrows. Treatment protocols: Understand the steps to follow before, during, and after the procedure to ensure the safety and satisfaction of your clients.

2 day Portrait Workshop in acrylics inspired by Dante Gabriel Rossetti   Join well known Edinburgh artist and tutor Suzanne Kemplay and model Beth Davison to create a portrait in the style of the pre Raphaelite Brotherhood. Expect an atmospheric set and romantic lighting in keeping with the Rossetti’s style, with a few modern touches thrown in.   On Day 1 Suzanne will give a short talk on how to approach your composition and how to capture the spirit of the artist’s technique. You’ll plan and sketch out a drawing in the morning before moving on to painting in the afternoon and on day two.  All materials are supplied (or feel free to bring your own) and the class is kept small to ensure everyone gets some individual attention. This course is most suited to those who have some drawing experience but we welcome beginners. Over 14s only. The workshop will run from 10 - 4pm on 1 and 2 April.

About this event This day will take you from an average photograph or sketch of a landscape to a large beautiful watercolour painting. Ruth has over twenty years of Wood Carving and Pyrography experience and will guide you step by step to create a 2d Relief Carving on a solid piece of Local Wood using traditional gouged and mallets or a design drawn and burnt into the wood. The workshop will take place in an outdoor studio space set on the grounds of the 48 acres Birtley Estate.
