Maker's bio My love of woodcraft was due to a meeting with a guitarist friend who had made an acoustic guitar. We talked about his guitar for many hours and I thought it would be a challenge for me to have a go! Well that was 6 years ago and now in 2021 I am in a small workshop in Stoke where I build various instruments. The Strumstick instrument build is a great way to get to grips with fine woodworking and is an ideal step towards acoustic guitar building. No experience in woodwork is needed.

I am a southern Kentucky artist whose passion is to cultivate creativity in everyone. I believe that anyone can be an artist and I love watching people dig deep to tap into their artistic talents. My current medium of choice is glass, resin, and wood. I love the juxtaposition of sparkly and crunchy glass, shiny resin, and rough reclaimed wood. The textures and depth of colors provide a unique and visually exciting aesthetic. As a Studio Arts major at Western Kentucky University, I spent many hours falling in love with fiber arts, weaving, ceramics, printmaking, sculpture, drawing, acrylic & oil painting. My post-grad years were filled with painting murals and creating custom artwork for schools, businesses & private residences. I continue to teach private and community classes in the Bowling Green, Kentucky area. Hi! I’m Elizabeth, a southern Kentucky artist and I love to help people use their creativity to make beautiful art. I believe that everyone is an artist and I love helping people dig deep to tap into their creative side. I enjoy teaching online glass collage courses, watercolor courses, facilitating and teaching in a monthly membership groups, and creating commission work for clients to enjoy in their homes and businesses.

The Drawing School, Dublin (formerly The Drawing Studio), was founded in 2010. It is now a leading school in practical artistic training, promoting skill in drawing.The Drawing School’s courses are based on relevant classical methods, but incorporate useful modernist and contemporary approaches. The aim is to improve ones discipline, skill and technique so the creative and artistic impulse can be expressed effectively. The school runs a popular full-time course and weekly classes in drawing. Intensive multiple-day classes are held throughout the year in painting and sculpture, as well as special events and lectures.We are located on the historic Merrion Square in the museum and gallery district of Dublin’s city centre.

I am self-taught ceramic sculptor. My passion for painting and sculpture began as a young child and is still my main obsession in life, a means of expression, my therapy, my greatest love. I add a quirky, sometimes humourus twist to my female forms and my animal sculptures. I work from my imagination preferring to avoid realism at all costs! My work is hand built useing coiling or slabbing techniques. After fireing my pieces are finished using crackle glaze, underglaze or stains which are wiped back to emphasise textures. I use grogged earthenware and stoneware handbuilding clay. I sometimes paint fantasy designs with acrylics and also teach in my home studio in Worcester. I am living my dream. My work has been exhibited in UK galleries including Guildford House, Birmingham, Bowes Museum, Gloucester, Wolverhampton, Worcester and many more. I also exhibit my sculptures at the annual Showborough House sculpture exhibition, Twyning, Tewkesbury. I have worked with different media over the years in the wedding industry making wacky bride and groom wedding sculptures. I was commissioned by the BBC to surprising chef Ainsley Harriott, with a caricature of himself on the TV show Ready, Steady, Cook. I have also discussed my huge, wacky sculptures on TV whilst exhibiting them in Bowes Museum, County Durham. A big thrill for me was being commissioned to create small sculptures to be photographed for the front cover of Vogue Italia. Another TV commission was lool a like clay figures for celebrities Matt and Emma Willis. I sculpted a large chocolate wedding centrepiece for actor/singer Gareth Gates.

Our Story As Creatives began life in 2008 as a group of six freelance creative practitioners who all felt that the sum of our parts gave us a far greater chance of fulfilling our shared aim to see Creative Learning at the heart of education. With backgrounds across the Creative Industries, including classical acting, illustration, theatre directing and sculpture, we were all determined to keep space in our lives for our individual practices while finding time to work together to design a range of creative learning workshops and programmes, that we could offer to schools and the wider community. The success of this way of working led us very quickly to set up as a limited company and we have never looked back! Twelve years on our mission remains unchanged. We believe more than ever in the power of the arts to transform lives, fuelled by our first-hand experiences. We have expanded to work with a wider group of creative practitioners, all specialists in their fields, and we continue to work together both nationally and internationally to find new and exciting ways to engage children and young people in their learning.

My priority is to guide clients who are individuals or companies to the perfect training solution, and develop new professional standard courses that are reactive and relevant to jewellery industry demand. Dawn Meaden-Johnson _Founder and Directo With the Bespoke Jewellery Training Company I have created a unique business model that provides anyone with access to professional jewellery industry standard training outside of Further Education. I'm a graduate Silversmith of the prestigious School of Jewellery in Birmingham and I have a wide variety of experience over my career in different industry roles. After graduating I began a 10 year stint of experience working at Jewellery Retail sector giants Signet Group, initially working in jewellery sales and customer service, then moving into branch operations, export, marketing and merchandising via their HQ in Birmingham. From 2004-2014 I was back at the School of Jewellery Birmingham City University (BCU) as short courses/external training project manager, working with UK and International clients. For the past five years Dawn has been supporting Graduates and Designer Makers via Jewellery Business Mentoring. In 2017 The Bespoke Jewellery Training Company became an a graduate award sponsor at The School of Jewellery at Birmingham City University (BCU), where upon graduation two graduates per year are selected to receive a 9 month Graduate Jewellery Business Mentoring programme each, delivered by me. In 2022 I became a member of The Guild of Jewellery Designers, Ethical Good Practises Forum. We are working on a subject area of huge importance, and our forum is made up of industry volunteers with a wide range of experience, and our aim is to research, raise awareness and provide guidance to help Jewellers make informed choices for ethical good practise. Today my office at The Bespoke Jewellery Training Company is located near Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter and our courses take place in many tutor studios all around the UK and online.

The Emily Found A Thing studio is based in Ludlow Shropshire, the makers are Rachel Grevatte who studied art at Bretton Hall College in Yorkshire, she is also a teacher and has worked in museums and galleries. Jim Grevatte has a background in sculpture and is an independent museum curator, their experiences in working with collections and passion for history and craft have merged to form Emily Found a Thing. “Our work at Emily Found A Thing transforms old, broken and discarded things into beautiful and unique handmade pieces that we hope will be treasured. Every item has a story and a history and is one of a kind. The objects we make and the spaces we curate stimulate thought, conversation, creativity and fun.”
