Hi, I'm Nam - a Yoga teacher and mother of two. In 2011, I started Namas Yoga with a single group class. The aim was to share all the experience and knowledge that I gained about Yoga and wellness to people that wanted connection and strength in this busy modern world. A lot has changed since then and Namas has grown into group classes, personalised 1:1 Yoga sessions, workshops, postnatal Yoga sessions and taught at events such as Adidas Studio London and The Mummy Tribe retreat. Namas Yoga is also taught at various companies so that office workers can come together, do Yoga and reduce anxiety and stress that's found in many working environments.

Like many people in our profession, I didn’t exactly grow up dreaming of working in ELT, but what made me fall in love with it was two main things: ❤ The opportunity to work directly with people and help them to help themselves change their lives for the better. ❤ The great colleagues I got to work with, as a teacher, teacher trainer, manager and materials writer. Working as a business and mindset coach with ELT freelance professionals enables me to combine both those things, and to use the skills and experience I have to have a real impact. One of the things I don’t like about ELT is the way that so many excellent professionals are underpaid, undervalued and scraping by. I also far too often see people working themselves into the ground. This might be OK when we’re in our early twenties with no responsibilities, but it’s no way to run a sustainable and enjoyable professional career.

Welcome Sidney Stringer Academy caters for 1450 students aged 11-19 including a large sixth form. The Academy opened in September 2010 and moved into our new building in 2011. The school was originally a sponsored academy but in 2014 following an Ofsted inspection which judged the academy to be outstanding we became a sponsor in our own right. Sidney Stringer is now the lead school in the Sidney Stringer Multi Academy Trust and there are currently 5 schools in the trust: Ernesford Grange Community Academy, Radford Primary Academy, Riverbank Academy (Special School) and Sidney Stringer Primary Academy. All of the schools are working together with the aim of providing an outstanding education for all of our pupils. Our ambition at Sidney Stringer Academy is to create a vibrant, happy and successful academy which delivers the very highest standards of education and nurtures each student’s talents and skills and plays a central role in meeting the needs of our local community. Sidney Stringer Academy is a very successful school. We have been judged as OUTSTANDING by Ofsted in all categories. We are currently very oversubscribed and an extremely popular local school. The curriculum we offer both stretches the gifted and talented and supports those with special needs. Ofsted commented that “The Academy supports students exceptionally well”. We set high standards and have high expectations of all. We all look forward to working in partnership with parents and appreciate your support in achieving the status as an outstanding Academy.
