We're so excited to announce our new Silver Clay Workshop! This is a great opportunity for teachers who want to learn a new skill and share that knowledge with their students. You'll get hands-on experience rolling, cutting, adding texture, firing, finishing and more. All the materials are provided and we'll give you all the tools you need to make sure you walk away with some beautiful silver clay pieces you can be proud of. This workshop is full of new exciting processes for you and your students—you won't want to miss it! We know that teachers are busy people who want to do more than just show up for lessons every day. That's why we're offering these workshops—so you can spend less time preparing for your classes, and more time creating something beautiful. We're sure your students will be excited about this new exciting process as well!

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you will learn the basics of silver clay work. You will practice rolling, cutting, adding texture, firing and finishing your pieces. You will leave with a greater understanding of the process and the confidence to continue working with this exciting material at home. You'll leave with a finished piece of jewellery that you can wear proudly or give as a gift! There's nothing quite like making something yourself—and when you do it with silver clay, the process is even more exciting because of how versatile it is. You can create anything from simple charms to elaborate necklaces and earrings. Once you've learned this process, you'll be able to do it at home whenever inspiration strikes!

If so, our Art & Design Teacher CPD Course - Bookbinding - 1 day is perfect for you. And with 20 years experience of teaching will ensure that all the paperwork is done for you so you can concentrate on the fun bit!

3 hours for two people should give you the opportunity to make a mug, bowl and small plate each and decorate them £165 for two.

Come along and join in the festive spirit. In this workshop you will be making a selection of willow and rush Xmas tree decorations. Including reindeer..add a red nose, Xmas trees...add a little tinsel snow to the top and a 10" rush angel for the top of your tree, plus stars, and mini wreath hoops. Festive snacks and a glass of mulled wine included. Please choose from the morning or afternoon session. 9.30am-12.30pm 1.30pm-4.30pm

The Alhambra Palace complex is home to some of the finest examples of Islamic Geometric Pattern in the world. During this three-day course we will learn how to construct a number of these patterns - ranging from the simple to highly sophisticated - using the traditional geometer's tools of compass and straightedge. This course will be led in a gentle, easy to follow, step-by-step manner, suitable for both beginners and experienced alike.

We are eagerly looking forward to welcoming Australian based Artsist/Educator and Projective Geometry expert Sophia Montefiore back to SAOG Studios for a Summer 2021 Projective Geometry course. Participants will be introduced to the fundamental and profound principles of this unique art form through drawing/construction and colour work focussing on Spirals, Buds and Vortex Forms.
