At Clay With Carole we offer group classes for all ages and abilities in hand building in clay. During this thorough and enjoyable 6-week evening course you will learn how to prepare your clay, and the main methods of hand building. You will be introduced to a variety of decorating techniques, ceramic materials and glazing. Each week you will make your original pieces using a different technique of hand building and through the duration of the course you can experiment with decorating techniques, application of ceramic materials, and a range of glazes.
In this fun and focused session you will learn how to throw pots with a wheel each and have the opportunity to paint what you make for firing. Carole will demonstrate the process and teach you the technique. The session is suitable for all including children age 7+, couples, friends, families, and small groups.
In this wonderfully creative private session, you will make, decorate, and glaze your unique hand-built pieces from clay for firing. You will learn a range of hand building techniques to create beautiful pieces that you can cherish forever. Examples of what you can make include vases, dishes, plaques, tiles, plant pots, candle holders and much more.
My beginner's sewing course will teach you the basics, from operating a sewing machine to mastering essential stitches. You'll work on simple projects, gaining hands-on experience and confidence. Always wanted to have a go at mosaic making? This might be the class for you! What to expect A brief introduction and demonstration on mosaic making using the Direct Method. Included will be how to use tile nippers, how to create shapes and an explanation of various andamento styles and how to grout. Please note that grouting will not be done in this class however you will receive a grout bag to take home with full instructions (including a video for reference). Who is this for? Suitable for beginners, however, those with some mosaic experience are also welcome to join.
