Hand Building Pottery

Description

In this wonderfully creative private session, you will make, decorate, and glaze your unique hand-built pieces from clay for firing.

You will learn a range of hand building techniques to create beautiful pieces that you can cherish forever.

Examples of what you can make include vases, dishes, plaques, tiles, plant pots, candle holders and much more.

We will demonstrate and guide you through the complete process, teaching you the techniques you will need to make your masterpiece as you create.

Techniques taught include coiling, slab building, pinching and sculpture. There is a large selection of inspirational materials, images, forms, tools, textures and colouring materials to spark your imagination and make your work stand out.

The sessions are fun, relaxing, sociable, and therapeutic whether you come alone or with family and friends. After drying your clay pieces will be fired twice to glazed pottery in an electric kiln for later collection.
