Taizé is a simple, meditative form of Christian worship, utilising short contemporary chants, prayerful silence, Bible readings to guide the focus of prayer and a candle lit environment. The services call us to dwell deeply on Christ's presence within and among us. The Church of St. John the Baptist Cockayne Hatley is set in beautiful rural countryside, away from busy life. A single day knife making course is a great way to make yourself an item that will last a lifetime, on this one day course we forge a blacksmiths knife (also called a Viking knife) a full metal knife with integral handle. A knife is one of the oldest tools ever made by humanity and it is one that invokes many emotions to people when they see and use it for a productive task. When doing a knife making course here at Bearded Pig Forge we will discuss the fine details of a knife and how they are made as well as the history of forging them.  On the course you will learn the basics of forging a blade and how to effectively heat treat them in order to get the most use out of the blades as well as techniques for sharpening and honing blades. Courses are £150 Per person per day.  I run a strict cancellation policy. If you cannot attend the date you have booked please contact me within three weeks and I will rebook your course for free, If you contact me after this deadline you will lose your place. First Aid at Work is a 3 day course 1 day is delivered on line. If you are already qualified just choose the 2 day option to requalify and you skip the online element. The course is suitable for people who work in high risk workplaces and covers the worst case scenarios and some of the more common minor stuff and goes on to cover common injuries and conditions a first aider might come accross. Initial training: 1 day online learning 2 days in the Splat classroom. Initial training is a BLENDED course meaning that 6 hours of work must be completed online BEFORE the start of the course. Without this completed online element delegates will not be able to attend training and places cannot be refunded. Registration for the online element will be sent separately when booking is complete. Requalifier: If you have a **current First Aid at Work Certificate** you need only attend the 2 classroom days. You can choose this option at booking. First Aid Training at Splat is relaxed and enjoyable. We aim to help you learn and support you to get what you need from the day. There are some practical and some multiple-choice assessments but our job is to ensure you have everything you need to pass these easily. Please note that First Aid can be quite physical, you will need to be able to kneel on the floor to perform CPR and Recovery Position. Please wear comfortable clothing you can move around in, and, if possible, please let us know ahead of time if there is anything we can do to help support you and your enjoyment of the day.

This five-day course covers a range of topics, all of which are covered via a mixture of theoretical and practical training – we aim for our courses to be as hands-on as possible. The course specifically covers: An introduction to SCADA systems, including elements, servers, hardware and software, tags, plus more. A range of systems including automatic control, FIELDBUS, and wireless communication systems. An introduction to serial interferences, ethernet networks, fibre optics, and wireless. Process variables Communications include case studies to establish communication with HMI (Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Pro-face) . Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), sensors and alarms. Introduction to OPC, covering how to configure OPC UA servers and how to program an OPC UA client. Client and servers development Connection management Security configuration Trends and historical data System components What will I gain from this SCADA HMI course? Upon successful completion of this course, candidates will gain a City & Guilds accredited certificate in Scada, HMI and communications.
