FAA Level 2 Award In Student First Aid (RQF)

3 - 4 hour course A course for (unpaid) carers and volunteers who care for people with mobility problems Gives learners the skills to protect their own backs Course Contents: The importance of safe manual handling Basic Risk Assessments Types of equipment designed to aid moving people safely Use of a wheelchair Safely moving people in and out of their wheelchair Safely moving people in and out of a car Use of banana boards and similar objects Helping people get up out of their chairs Helping people to walk by themselves, using sticks or zimmer frames where required Benefits of this course: This is a very practical course 36% of carers have injuries such as back pain, caused by their caring responsibilities This course is there to help carers take care of themselves by showing them, and giving time to practice, techniques to aid the person they care for move by themselves where possible CPD Accredited This course is not an Ofqual regulated qualification, and has no accreditation attached. Candidates will, however, receive a certificate of attendance, as seen to the left.

Operational Driving Evaluation This must be completed along with pre validation requirements to drive company vehicles Conditions for driving are: held a full UK licence for more than 12 months no medical conditions that compromise driving ability aged 19 years or older no previous driving bans no more than 6 penalty points you must have completed your Knowledge Check Assessment 48 hours prior to your Practical Assessment date (Failure to submit your knowledge check will result in your practical assessment being cancelled)

Our cricket club holds junior training sessions for all age groups from 6yrs to 16years. All our our coaching staff are ECB qualified to level 2 and 3. We also have teams playing in all age categories, under 8, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 16. For those progressing beyond 16, we also have an under 19s team and a senior development team Come and try one of our sessions for free on your first week. 

All our skippers and instructors are either fully qualified RYA Yachtmaster or Cruising Instructors with many years of experience sailing in Scotland and with years of offshore experience, sailing across the seas and oceans. They all have various other RYA qualifications and are keen to share their knowledge with you.
