Qualification Information This qualification and learning outcomes are based on the recommendations of: The Resuscitation Council (UK) Skills for Health Assessment Principles for First Aid Qualifications Course Content Following this course students will: Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally. Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally. Know how to safely use an automated external defibrillator. Be able to safely use an automated external defibrillator. Who should attend? This qualification is for people who have a specific interest or responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, in being able to provide BLS when dealing with an emergency situation which may involve using an AED. Pre-requisites Students must be at least 16 years old on the first day of training. Assessment and Certifications Assessment for this course is continuous. Successful students will receive an Immerse Training Certificate, which is valid for one year. This certificate will be issued by Qualsafe, the awarding body for Immerse Training. Additional Information Completion of the Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator includes 1 credit at Level 2 of the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF). The Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an automated External Defibrillator is also recommended as an annual refresher for student who have successfully completed the QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF). Workplace First Aid Courses First Aid courses for employers and employees. Our workplace courses are fully accredited, registered and meet Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines. From 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work (previously appointed person) to 3 day First Aid at Work courses. We specialise in on-site courses at your workplace, tailored to the specific risks associated with your business.  All courses can be delivered at our training centre in Poole, Dorset or we can deliver on-site across Bournemouth, Poole, Dorset, Hampshire and the South of England.

When there is a shooting, stabbing or bomb explosion the initial priority will be public safety. This can delay the time before the emergency services are able to reach the injured. Our 3 hour citizenAID course enables the general public to be effective in these situations before the emergency services are available to provide professional medical support. This course can be delivered on-site or at our training centre in Poole, Dorset. Qualification Information This qualification and learning outcomes are based on the blended recommendations of: European Resuscitation Council, Section 9. First Aid British Army, Battlefield Casualty Drills Course Content Following this course students will: Be able to use the citizenAID app/pocket guide in an emergency situation. Be able to provide immediate first aid to an unresponsive casualty who is breathing. Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with severe external bleeding. Who should attend? This qualification is for all members of the public who wish to learn lifesaving skills and techniques in the event of a deliberate multiple casualty incident. Pre-requisites Students must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training. Assessment and Certifications Assessment of this course is continuous and will take place through knowledge and skills observations. Successful students will receive an Immerse Training Certificate, which is valid for three years. This certificate will be issued by Qualsafe, the awarding body for Immerse Training. With sessions sessions from 1 hour tasters for every class in a school, to after school first aid clubs, Immerse Training are certain to design a programme that’s right for you, your budget and your children.   We currently deliver First Aid and Life-Saving skills across a variety of settings to groups of children and young people from 4 to 14 years old, when they are able to participate in accredited First Aid courses. All of our First Aid Training for Children courses are designed in collaboration with qualified childcare practitioners and child health clinicians. Our programmes can be tailored to meet any area of the curriculum from Early Years Foundation Stage through to Key Stage 3. First Aid Training for Children is a great way to prepare young people for specific activities such as Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, babysitting and sports leadership.
