NATIONALLY RECOGNISED AND ACCREDITED FORENSIC SCIENCE COURSE Level Three (advanced), awarding 3 credits.   DUAL ACCREDITATION: Awarding Body: Open College Network (OCN Credit4Learning) Awarding Body: CPD (21 CPD Points)   A modular "hybrid" forensic science course - eLearning (online) theory and one full day classroom based practical training (Crime Scene Investigations). The practical day covers a wide range of CSI techniques with "hands-on" practical training. On completion awards an OCN Nationally Recognised and Accredited Certificate in Forensic Science. This course is additionally CPD Accredited and also awards 21 CPD points on completion.   PART 1 - THEORY Complete this part of your course online (eLearning Course) in the comfort of your own home or workplace. Please allow approx. 6-8 hours to complete the elearning modules. You do not need to complete Part 1 in one single "sitting” and can log on/off as many times as you wish and when convenient to you. You must complete both parts 1 and 2 to successfully pass this course.   PART 2 - CLASSROOM Attend your forensic science practical day in the classroom, covering a number of key CSI investigative processes and procedures. You will develop your crime scene investigator skills with "hands-on" training in a classroom environment at the training location you have selected. Please note that we will provide protective clothing (disposable aprons), goggles and gloves. These Third Sector members work to relieve the pressure felt by the medical services, by delivering community-based and community-oriented services that focus on prevention, wellness, recovery, and resilience, in turn building a more sustainable and long-lasting solution. These Consortium Members are the service providers for Living Well Consortium. To deliver this approach using the members’ collective knowledge, resource, and capacity, Living Well UK is the public-facing charity that brings the work of the consortium members to the people of the West Midlands. This charity arm provides free mental health support to people living in Birmingham and Solihull, promoting wellbeing from an individual and community perspective to help find practical solutions to life’s challenges. These include online stress and anxiety courses, counselling and self-help, creative therapies, and CBT, drawing on the knowledge of a consortium of expert members across the city.

At Challenge Dyslexia we understand first hand the difficulties and frustrations parents of a dyslexic child face when navigating the educational process. The method of teaching utilised at Challenge Dyslexia follows the ‘Dyslexia Action Literacy Programme’ (DALP) This programme is highly effective and successful in providing targeted specific dyslexia tuition and is delivered in 1-1/ small groups. Lessons are formulated based on the findings of an evaluation carried out within the initial placement sessions. The lessons follow a tailored structured plan of learning points which are delivered through a combination of exercises, activities and games which aim to build and reinforce each learning point. Our aim at Challenge Dyslexia is to engage students by making learning fun with all sessions designed to promote relational learning. The lessons follow a learner led cumulative approach, which is built upon session by session. Due to the negative experiences some students may have previously experienced within the classroom, a major element built into the construct of the lessons is the promotion of learner independence, self efficacy and self confidence, which aim to increase motivation and attitude to learning. In addition to being dyslexia specialists we also have experience and training in a range of therapeutic interventions, so are qualified to address and help break down barriers to learning from this perspective.

The courses, seminars, lectures and conferences at the Leadership Training Centre are designed and facilitated to support the formation and development of Christian leaders in their various practice of ministry. The Certificate in Ministerial Studies(CIMS) courses are open to Pastors and Church leaders from all Christian denominations. CIMS courses provide learning opportunities for effective Christian service within and beyond the local church. We continue to work in partnership with a selected number of theological institutions and organisations such as The Queen’s Foundation for Ecumenical Theological Education, the Pentecostal Theological Seminary (PTS) and the Association of Christian Counsellors’ (ACC)). Partnership with PTS enables us to facilitate a Certificate Programme for Church Leaders and a UK MDiv cohort which should appeal to those who wish to advance their theological studies particularly in our Pentecostal tradition. The CIMS course, Helping People in Crises, for example, has been extended to incorporate the ACC acclaimed ‘Pastoral Care Foundation Course’ and provide an opportunity for those with a heart for pastoral care to sharpen their perspective and skills to become more effective in the care of people in their churches and local communities. We welcome every Pastor and key leader within the New Testament Church of God and other denominations to take advantage of our provision to enrich your personal and ministerial development and enhance your practice of ministry.
