First Aid at Work - Annual Refresher

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Safe use of AED training

An exciting cosmetic making workshop awaits as you learn to make two products of your choice from our extensive product make range. You also wrap and label all your products in our signature recycled plastic free wraps and containers.

Basic Life Support Qualification Four Hours Cost:  £40 + vat per person A maximum of 12 students can be accommodated on this course, and all candidates must be a minimum of 14 years of age to qualify. SYLLABUS This regulated Level 2 Basic Life Support qualification will give learners the skills, knowledge and practical competence to administer First Aid until Professional Medical help arrives. It is particularly suitable for healthcare professionals for the purpose of Continual Professional Development (CPD. SYLLABUS A range of subjects are covered including: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Primary Survey Choking Assessment and Marking Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Recovery Position CERTIFICATION This qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. The learner will need to complete the full course again to qualify for a further three years. It is recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training. Immediate Life Support • ILS Training The Immediate Life Support (ILS) course provides the necessary knowledge and skills when dealing with cardiac arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. These workshops are designed for healthcare professionals who must be equipped to deal with life-threatening emergencies. Our ILS workshops are interactive, engaging, and hands-on. We believe that learning is best achieved through practice, so our workshops involve real-life scenarios where participants can apply their newly acquired skills under the guidance of experienced instructors. Upon completion of a First-Aid Qualification, employers can be assured that they have highly-trained personnel capable of responding swiftly and effectively to any First-Aid needs. What are 11+ / Entrance Exams? 11+ Exams, sometimes called 'Entrance Exams', are examinations that many UK private schools. The rare usually competitive and a bit daunting! Don't panic, though - we're here to help!  How do I take Entrance Exams? Different schools have different application procedures, timelines and expectations. Some will belong to a body of schools using the same examination papers, whereas others will set their own, independent exams. Many also charge an administration fee. We do not advise parents on the applications themselves, but we have garnered a depth of knowledge about 11+ Exams that enable our Tutors to workeffikiently and effectively, whilst still keeping their students engaged and in good spirits. Who are your Tutors? Over half of our Tutors studied at either Oxford or Cambridge University and many hold PGCEs or TEFL/CELTA qualifications. All Tutors are Enhanced DBS checked. We interview each Tutor personally, to get to know them and to find our students the best match. What 11+ experience do you have? Our Founder, Martha, has extensive experience preparing students for the UK's top independent school exams, with many of her students achieving their first choice school, if not also a scholarship - lovely! This work is now carried out by our experienced and friendly tutors, with input from Martha if, as and when they may need extra support.
