Adobe Lightroom is one of the photographer&rsquo;s &ldquo;go to&rdquo; software packages for post processing and this workshop&nbsp; will take you through the complete workflow from memory card to the final, finished result.</p>
<p>Available as one to one online sessions in two hour blocks, this workshop is hosted via Zoom. You're in the comfort of your own home, at your own PC and we will work through a programme tailored to your requirements. All you need are some images you&rsquo;d like to process, a copy of Adobe Lightroom and your laptop or desktop computer.</p>
<p>We&rsquo;ll run through the editing workflow and I can run the workshop as a single session or a series of sessions &ndash; the choice is completely yours.</p>

I have taught hundreds of people the craft of software engineering over the past six years. Many of them are senior engineers now, some of them in companies you would have heard of. I have taught in nine programming languages and used even more as an engineer myself, so you can rest assured we can learn whatever your path suits.</p>

A1-A2 Beginners
Let’s start learning Italian!
With this course you will learn the basic elements and key phrases of Italian from the very beginning. You might know a few words already, but what about making your visit more authentic by interacting more with the people once you are there?

The exercises and activities are aimed at building your confidence with key phrases, pronunciation, grammar practice, verb drills (present tense of most common verbs) and speaking/listening activities, but also with games and quizzes.

The syllabus may include: the Italian sounds with a pronunciation guide on the first lesson; formal and informal address; how to greet people, how to introduce yourself/ introduce others, ask for something in cafés and restaurants, giving/exchange details, understanding numbers and prices, talking about jobs and family, where you live; asking and understanding directions and other basic vocabulary when going around shopping; you will also learn some cultural traits and fun facts about Italians.
B1 - B2 Intermediate
Now that you know some Italian, why not improve your language skills and take them to the next level?   
The intermediate course is well structured with grammar activities (such as prepositions, combined articles and pronouns), verb drills (past tenses, progressive forms, future tense), readings with comprehension activities, recounting short stories, common idiomatic expressions, games and quizzes.

The syllabus may include: describing people, booking hotels, booking accommodation online and via emails, more about numbers, describing places, expressing admiration, enquiring about services such as public transport; talking about homes, finding a house; expressing likes and dislikes, shopping for food and clothes, expressing preferences, making suggestions, buying train tickets, understanding directions, describing situations in the past; making plans for the future.
C1 - C2 Advanced
The advanced course is designed for students who already know Italian but want to take their knowledge further in order to hone their skills in all aspects of the language learning.  
With the advanced course, the student will have the opportunity to learn the grammar acquired with the intermediate course, but more in depth with ad hoc activities. The course will focus more on speaking activities: short and medium length articles at the beginning (and progressively longer articles) are used as conversation topics in order to hone vocabulary and grammar skills. The course may include writing tasks about specific topics which the student will discuss during the class with the teacher.

The syllabus may include: saying what you have done recently, saying what you can do, referring to events long ago, making suggestions, understanding and giving instructions, making comparisons, giving reasons, asking for and giving advice, talking about holidays, understanding the weather forecast, making plans for the future.

Daisy Chandley joined PFD in 2019 after graduating from the University of Oxford with a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. She is an Associate Agent and assistant to Senior Agent Annabel Merullo and Head of Books Tim Bates as the UK sub-agent for New Directions Publishing in the US. Daisy is actively building a list of both fiction and non-fiction authors across a range of genres.

With fiction, Daisy's wishlist roughly falls into three categories – if something feels like it overlaps between them, even better!

1) Sharp, original novels on the literary to upmarket spectrum, all the way from deeply dark and boundary-pushing books like Hurricane Season, Under The Skin or In The Cut to those balancing edge, heart and humour, like Detransition, Baby or A Visit From The Goon Squad. She loves irreverent wit, daring approaches in narrative or form, and seriously unsettling stories in equal measure, and if you can bring a few of those elements into one, it’ll go straight to the top of her.

2) Com-heavy rom-coms, whether in the dry but ultimately sob-inducing vein of Greta and Valdin or a Nora Ephron film, the escapist screwball delight of a Cary Grant classic, or the more unusual, genre-bending style of something like Palm Springs. Daisy is a sucker for Emily Henry and will always be happy to see an innovative take on tropey love stories, but is equally very keen to see to things a bit outside of the box, whether that’s integrating speculative elements, dark humour, or topical issues. In any case, humour and originality are my priority, and affectionately snarky bickering is the best way to make her fall head over heels with a couple.

3) Sleuths! Daisy is not the right person for police procedurals, but loves classic detectives and amateur sleuths. Whether it’s a delightful Knives Out or Nancy Drew homage or an intricate, unputdownable mystery on the darker side, the minute someone finds a good old fashioned clue, count her in!

Overall, whether it’s a delightfully fun and scandalous page-turner or something really bold and experimental, if it’s stylish and smart – and maybe even a bit sexy – Daisy would love to see it.

Daisy is definitely interested in literary speculative fiction, though not generally looking for hard SFF. Across the board, she is always looking for stories that explore sexuality, race, gender, and disability, and would particularly love to hear from writers whose voices and experiences aren’t given enough space in publishing.

On the non-fiction side, Daisy is looking for bold new insights and underrepresented voices on popular science, nature writing, relationships, social issues and politics, and am always especially interested in fresh, playful and exciting writing on pop culture, love and the internet. She’d also love to see illuminating narrative non-fiction, whether a beautiful and lyrical exploration, or an enthralling and explosive deep-dive.

Safely and competently set up and maintain a Peripheral IV Infusion.

M1 - Peripheral IV Cannulation - Introduction:
Definitions - understanding terminology relating to PIVC.
IV Therapy and NMC guidelines.
M2 - Legal & Professional Responsibilities:
Legal Obligations and Accountability. Criminal, Civil and
Contractual law in Healthcare. Vicarious Liability and your
Duty of Care.
M3 - Anatomy & Physiology:
Sites appropriate to IV cannulation. Hand vs. arm.
Advantages and disadvantages of relevant veins.
An overview of Homeostasis and Fluid Balance.
M4 - Hygiene and Infection Prevention & Control (IPC):
Reducing healthcare-associated infections. Keeping Safe.
Bloodborne Pathogens and Work Practice Controls.
Standard Precautions. Waste Disposal. Needle-stick injuries.
M5 - Indications and Advantages:
When to cannulate, infusion types and benefits over
alternative infusion routes. Continuous and intermittent infusion.
Prophylactic use before procedures and in unstable patients.
Contraindications.
M6 - Equipment:
Cannula types, sizes and colour coding. How to select
appropriate size. Equipment overview for total procedure.
M7 - Vein Choice for Cannulation:
Correct vein selection. Which veins to avoid.
How to manage an unsuccessful cannulation.
M8 - Procedures:
Full procedure for cannulation including correct documentation.

M9 - Contraindications:
When inappropriate to cannulate including patients with specific health conditions.

A detailed look at potential complications during and after

A detailed look at different types of cannulas, respective benefits and attributes. Selectinng an appropriate pVAD.
5 - Complications:
Complications of pVAD insertion including examples of
infiltration, haematoma, extravasation and transfixation.
6 - VIP Score:
Understanding and using the Visual Infusion Phlebitis score.
