Essential First Aid Relating to Forest Schools, covering a wide range of possible emergency situations. This course is designed for Forest Schools to teach basic first aid skills over two days meeting the guidelines of Forest Schools. This qualification is available as a ProTrainings qualification and you can also request an Endorsed certificate from TQUK if required for an extra charge. The course is the same for both certificates. The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate.

This qualification is aimed at those working in an environment where an AED is available.

The course will provide learners with the skills and knowledge to respond to a range of emergency outdoor situations including summoning assistance, responding to changes in vital signs, administering CPR and blood loss. The qualification meets the requirements of the Institute for Outdoor Learning band 2 training. Duration The minimum classroom contact time of 8 hours must be delivered over a minimum of 1 day. This regulated and nationally recognised basic life support training (BLS) and management of anaphylaxis course allows students to hone their skills and knowledge in BLS and AED use as well as anaphylaxis treatment. This first aid course is intended for individuals who have a specific responsibility at work, at home, or in volunteer and community activities to render basic life support and manage anaphylaxis in the event of an emergency. This course can be adapted to both adults and paediatrics.

The course covers primary and some secondary skills allowing the flexibility to add extra subjects where needed.
