What is the AM2 assessment? The AM2 assessment is an industry recognised trade test designed to evidence that candidates have gained all relevant and safety-critical competencies during their training process. It provides a single standard that has been agreed upon by employers within the electrical industry, giving a reliable and trusted guarantee of safe, high-quality skills for the electrotechnical industry. Who is this for? This is aimed at apprentices who are coming to the end of their training for the JIB apprentice training scheme and the Installation of modern apprenticeships. This course is also for experienced electricians, specifically those who are looking at taking the experienced worker route (AM2E.) There are a range of assessments for candidates based on their level: AM2 – This is for candidates undertaking the JIB mature candidate assessments and those following the level three NVQ who isn’t an apprentice. AM2S – This is for electrotechnical apprentices who are training against the apprenticeship standard AM2E – This is for experienced workers who are completing the experienced worker assessment. Please note: this can only be taken once you have gained the experienced worker qualification, proof must be provided before booking the AM2 assessment. What does this assessment consist of? Overall, the AM2 is an in-depth assessment carrying out tasks to show what you have learnt on your training. It is a practical assessment with five sections (six for AM2E and AM2S) and a short online component. If you are already working as an electrician, you will not need an AM2 certificate. Learn essential skills and techniques used by phlebotomists to draw blood from neonates and paediatrics. Covers many of the skills developed by medical professionals working in Special Care Baby Units and Children's Wards.

This course complements our Introduction to Phlebotomy Course and is a natural progression route for practising and experienced phlebotomists wishing to expand on their existing phlebotomy qualifications. The course is also open to anyone completing another (approved) provider's phlebotomy training course.
At the end of each e-learning section (module) you have a series of multiple choice questions to answer. You can re-sit each section a total of 3 times.

Course Overview:
Understanding specific words and terms used in the healthcare sector is an absolute must if you are looking to progress in this profession. Once you have a basic understanding of how medical words are constructed they become easy to understand and use are internationally used by nurses, doctors, allied healthcare professionals, dentists and many other medical specialities.
If you're interested in pursuing a health or science career then the requirement and ability to communicate in this way is a necessity.
In easy to follow modules, you'll find our user-friendly format will not only give you a solid foundation in medical language, but can be completed in less than a day (although you have up to 8 weeks to complete). Through well-written and concise rich text, pictures, diagrammes and downloadable support material, this course teaches you how to analyse individual medical word parts such as prefixes, suffixes and word roots.
Did you know that most of the medical terms are composed of interchangeable word parts that are used in different combinations? Once you know the various word roots, prefixes and suffixes, you'll be able to actually define a medical term that you're not familiar with by simply by recognising its individual parts. More importantly, you’ll be able to apply your new skills in this course when you apply for a job.
Once completed you will immediately be able to download your pass certificate. (Your new accredited certificate will be posted to you within 6-8 weeks.)
The nationally recognised and accredited certificate (awarded by the Open College Network) can be added to your existing certificate credit value (cumulative credits), and these may also count towards other similar college or university courses.
This course is supplements any medical or nursing course, however specific, and is open to anyone. At the end of each e-learning section you have up to 6 multiple choice questions to answer, with a passmark of 65%. You can re-sit each section 3 times.
