This in-person event will be held at the The Ashcombe School, The Student Learning Centre. The school has amble parking, please note the classroom is on the second floor. The school is a 5 minute walk from Dorking Main and Dorking Deepdene train station.
While the course may cover material that is emotionally triggering, we prioritise creating a safe and supportive environment and your self-care is important to us. Learners are encouraged to opt out during any section if needed, respecting their decisions and comfort levels.

The ILS course is ideal for healthcare workers who may be called upon to provide immediate medical assistance in emergency situations. The training focuses on recognizing and responding to critically ill patients, utilizing CPR, airway management, and other critical interventions to stabilize patients until more advanced care is available.
Key Objectives
Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) effectively.

My beginners crochet course, consists of four, two hour classes where you will get to grips with all the basics needed to get you competent and confident in the art of crochet.

Mental Health First Aid Refresher 
4-hour training

Empower Mental Health First Aiders and Champions to maintain their skills with regular Refresher training. Just like physical first aid, we recommend that you refresh your skills every two to three years. (Certificate expires after 3 years). If it's time to update your skills, book onto an MHFA Refresher course now and feel confident that you are performing your vital role safely.

Course outcomes
The MHFA Refresher course takes four hours to complete and will enable learners to: 
Keep their knowledge, awareness, and skills of mental health support current
Update their knowledge of mental health and what influences it
Practice applying the Mental Health First Aid action plan
Once you have completed your MHFA Refresher course, you will be certified for three years. You will also be invited to become or stay a member of MHFA England's Association of Mental Health First Aiders, making sure you have everything you need to feel confident when supporting others.


Completed a different mental health first aid course, you can still complete this refresher to maintain your MHFAider status
As part of the MHFA vision to improve the mental health of the nation, we are now able to accept other Level 3 qualifications from other providers as entry points for this course.

Together we&rsquo;ll explore ways to &nbsp;create work that reflects your individual interests, passion, and point of view, no matter your experience level. The course content is delivered over seven live Zoom sessions, in a small, welcoming group with plenty of opportunities for interaction. Additionally, there will be optional (but highly recommended) assignments to complete in between the live sessions - assignments designed to get you stuck in to your creative practice in new and interesting ways.During each live session, there will be a demonstration focusing on a particular aspect of visual art - this will include various materials, subjects, and considerations such as composition, theme, mark-making, layering, and so on. We will also have a look at everyone&rsquo;s recent creations, with celebration of the triumphs and suggestions for moving forward with work-in-progress. Together we&rsquo;ll explore techniques including drawing, painting, mixed-media, paper craft, and collage, but you don&rsquo;t have to work exclusively in these media to take part - all creative disciplines are welcome.Each participant will be encouraged to deepen their explorations in whatever direction interests them most - be it a series of written reflections, sketches, collages, photographs, mixed-media pieces, or a unique, personal combination of all these.There will be an optional online discussion group for participants to stay connected and share their creations with each other between sessions. Side-stepping difficult conversations can trap a team in unresolved problems, strained relationships, and missed chances for growth, which blocks progress and cultivates a lack of trust.
But many people avoid difficult conversations or handle them poorly because they’re afraid to address uncomfortable issues and feel unprepared to respond to the emotional reactions that inevitably arise.
Navigating Difficult Conversations: Turn Tension Into Progress takes a targeted approach to helping people to manage emotional tension and conduct conversations in a way that enables all parties to stay engaged in collaborative dialogue.
Participants will shift their mindset from fearing and avoiding difficult conversations to seeing them as the way to make progress on important issues. And they’ll develop the skills to build trust and respect in every relationship as they navigate sensitive topics.


Who Should Attend?
This programme is for anyone who finds the thought if having a challenging or difficult conversation, something to be very nervous of, even to the point of avoiding the issue.
We recommend that participants have first attended our Aspire programmes, Management Essentials and Performance Coaching, as they provide a strong foundation to the topic, which this session then builds upon.
In Navigating Difficult Conversations participants will discover how to balance Courage and Consideration throughout the conversation by:
Sharing their Purpose—the issue they need to make progress on—and Positive Intent—how they want the other person to benefit from the conversation
Responding to emotional reactions using the skills:
Pause, Don’t Panic
Observe, Don’t Judge
Ask, Don’t Assume

This module will help participants:
Create a strong foundation for difficult conversations by setting a clear and collaborative tone that balances their own and others’ needs.
Understand that emotional reactions are a natural, human response—and notice them as a signal that the conversation needs an adjustment to stay on track.
