The South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) comprises police officers and staff drawn from police forces across the country. SEROCU works in conjunction with the Hampshire Constabulary, Surrey Police, Sussex Police, Thames Valley Police, UK Border Force, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), the National Crime Agency (NCA) and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to combat cross-border organised crime. SEROCU provides niche and specialist capabilities in order to effectively target and disrupt serious organised crime. These capabilities are also available to the constituent Police services as required through a tasking process. There is a flexibility in the tasking model to respond to day to day needs. South East Regional Organised Crime Unit work closely in alignment with Counter Terrorism Policing South East and both functions are hosted by Thames Valley Police as the host Police service. Thames Valley Police manage SEROCU and provide all financial, HR and organisational requirements. Assistant Chief Constable Pete O’Doherty works directly to Chief Constable John Campbell to exercise overall command of the regional crime and counter terrorism functions. He also represents serious organised crime both regionally and nationally with the National Crime Agency and other key stakeholders.

The company was founded in 1993 by Neil Sleight, shortly after being made redundant! He had previously worked in the computer industry for 20 years, but became interested in software and equipment for children with a disability following the birth of his son James, who has Down’s Syndrome. (James is now doing well in supported living in Witney, after attending the excellent Derwen College in Shropshire). Although we tend to specialise in technology such as voice recognition and screen reading, we are available to help and support anyone with a disability, and voice recognition software is now in widespread use at home, university, or in the workplace.

Traditionally butlers and domestic staff remained with their employers for many years, often giving a lifetime of loyalty and service. In turn they were valued and respected for their different and specific roles within the household. In the 2020s staff are leaving their employment, often after a very short period, stating reasons of not being respected and being exploited, expected to take on extra roles for which they are not qualified and do not wish to undertake. It is tempting for employers to think that butlers and other domestic staff should be able to multi-task. Often expecting a butler to take on roles as driver, odd job man, child carer and in one case, related to me, of log cutter!

(To be 18 weeks or younger on week 1 of the course) All puppies must have evidence of their inoculations, microchipped and have a valid ID tag. Abingdon Dog Training Club's Puppy Foundation course aims to provide a means of socialising puppies and to lay down a foundation for education and training. It is an excellent lead into our 8 week basic obedience training which your puppy can attend from 5 months old. There will be a certificate awarded upon completion of the course.

Training Objectives By the end of this course, participants will be able to: Describe use of permeability and fluid saturation in reservoir engineering. Explain the assessment of hydrocarbon resources and recoverable reserves estimation. Understand analysis and modelling of fluid behaviour. Explain oil and gas reservoir performance. Describe material balance methods in oil and gas reservoirs. Understand design and analysis of well tests. Understand analysis and production of producing wells and forecasting methods. Target Audience This course is intended for professionals with prior technical or engineering exposure to exploration and production activities. Targeted participants include geoscientists, production engineers, petrophysicists and petroleum engineers involved with exploration and development of oil & gas reservoirs. The course will also benefit petroleum engineering team leaders as well as IT staff and support staff who work with reservoir engineering, development and production departments. He retired from Shell in 2012 and during the last years of his Shell career, he held the Senior Reserves Consultant for the Middle East and Reservoir Engineering Discipline Lead positions. He is a seasoned Petroleum Engineering professional, with global experience in Shell companies and joint ventures (NAM, SSB, SCL, PDO, SKDBV). His technical expertise is in reserves and resource management, reservoir engineering quality assurance, and staff development as well as carbonate reservoirs, modelling and reservoir simulation.  PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 2012 to date Independent Reservoir Engineering Consultant Petroleum and reservoir engineering advice, training and services.
