Chairing meetings skills for Elected Members Masterclass (In-House)

By The In House Training Company

Meetings are a traditional and essential component of local government. For both elected members and officers, meetings serve as a forum for discussion and agreement, planning and monitoring, communication and leadership, and decision-making. Used appropriately, meetings can challenge, inspire, illuminate and inform. And while they are not the only meetings that elected members will be asked to attend, committee meetings, in particular, are a mainstay of the political management process. Effective chairing is important because it can provide clear leadership and direction, ensure that debates are focused and balanced, enable decisions to be reached and ensure that resources are used to best effect. By The In House Training Company

It is essential that those charged with responsibility for credit control and debt recovery have a full appreciation of the relevant law: no-one can negotiate effectively to recover a debt if they don't understand the ultimate sanctions they can apply. These will be explained in simple, clear terms so that staff can use this information immediately. 2 County Court suing The expert trainer will show how to sue for money owed, obtain judgment and commence enforcement action without leaving your desk. This module is aimed at showing how to make the Courts work for you instead of the other way around! 3 Enforcement of judgments There are many people who have a County Court Judgment (CCJ) against their debtor but who still remain unpaid. This session explains each of the enforcement methods and how to use them to best effect. Britannia Flight Simulator

britannia flight simulator

4.8(29)

Barnsley

At Britannia flight simulator experience we show people of all ages how to become a pilot through flight instruction and tuition. Our Boeing 737 experience is also suitable and available to children, families and groups who wish to have fun and have a once in a lifetime experience. With over 20000 airports to choose from, you can decide to fly in and out of almost anywhere in the world! The enhanced software means you can see cars and trucks on the roads, going to from the airport you are landing at. It gets so exciting at times, particularly flying into Leeds Bradford Airport with gale force winds or flying over Canary Wharf and Big Ben in London. We also provide the simulator for hire for trainee, professional and retired pilots wishing to brush up their skills. With the full glass cockpit, 4k surround resolution viewing, flight management system and automatic flight director system , overhead systems and audio pedestal systems you can practice all areas of preparation training and real life flying. As the simulator has control loading / flight feel, you will be able to practice any scenario and feel the condition of the aircraft at all times. You may fancy doing a `SULLY` bird strike emergency landing or a recovery from a stall. The simulator has been constructed by ourselves to the highest standard, with the state of the art powerful computers and graphics cards and has been meticulously tested to ensure constant accurate flight feel and reliability. At Britannia Flight Simulator we are used to a varied pilot experience, and our tutor have exposure to this on a daily basis and will adapt to your needs. Pre flight briefings and debriefs are standard for the less experience pilot if they wish to have them, inexperienced or experienced pilots may just want to be left alone with the simulator to do as they wish with different scenarios and emergencies at the click of a button. The simulator itself might not move, but for the aviation enthusiast among us, this realistic flight simulator has a real throttle quandrant with speedbrake, reverse thrust levers and flaps, fully functioning PFDs & NFDs (that’s Primary & Navigational Flight Displays), hydraulics, electrics, APU (that’s the Auxiliary Power Unit), bleed air, oxygen and pressurisation systems. Oh and then there’s the fully working FMC (Flight Management Computer) and MCP (that’s the autopilot). Regular bookings made by regular customers, trainee, professional and retired pilots with receive bulk booking discounts, please email/ask for details. Indeed, stepping up to the flight deck and into the left hand captain’s seat, if you ever thought pilot’s had a easy life with their feet up whilst the autopilot did all the hard work, think again. As the precious cargo of passengers are boarding, the captain and first officer are busy doing route briefings, entering the data into the Flight Management Computer and executing a pre-flight checklist. On the longer experiences (2hours and above) you will follow those airline Standard Operating Procedures (yes, you guessed it - SOPs!). That means you get to do all those critical checks and controls before you ‘take off’ and again when you have completed your landing checks and given the cabin crew the ‘doors to arrival and crosscheck’ command. You get a complete insight into what a typical ‘day at the office for a Boeing driver’

My background in leadership development, occupational psychology, executive coaching, organization development and neuroscience gives me the skills and experience to help any client in any industry to maximise their potential for performance. I work with a small number of experienced associates, whom I’ve known for several years. I have self-funded all the qualifications I need to be able to offer a professional and reliable service. These are listed in the right-hand column. My professional development is continuing as I work towards Chartered Coaching Psychologist status. My professional career includes 9 years as a commissioned officer in the British Army, reaching the rank of major by 30 years old and fulfilling roles as an HR Director/Company Secretary of an infantry battalion (1st Battalion The Green Howards) on operations in Northern Ireland and Bosnia-Herzegovina. I led the first-ever British Army expedition to Lake Baikal, the World’s largest freshwater lake, in Siberia, Russia in 1995, lasting 3 months. After leaving the Forces, I held operations management roles in Ernst & Young, Cap Gemini and Accenture, before working for a number of boutique psychology consultancies, including Chimp Management, a company closely involved with various Team GB Olympic sports including cycling, swimming, taekwondo and canoeing. I am supervised by an EMCC and ICF-accredited supervisor. I am also a qualified Mental Health First Aider, which compliments my skills workshops on managing stress and building resilience. For my own wellbeing, I enjoy running, hill walking and real ale, occasionally combining all three by taking part in mountain marathons followed by a well-earned break in a local pub to refuel and recover. I enjoy reading history and biographies (as well as psychology, it goes without saying!), and I try to keep my German and Russian above the level of embarrassed British tourist asking for directions to the beach.

We encourage enquirers to browse through our childcare course to find the perfect support we offer. CONTEXT AND PERSPECTIVE Oxford Open College has a concept that : Children brought up well are most likely to be successful as adults. This is only possible where government, parents and childcare providers work together: At one time whole families with their children used to work long hours to earn the bare minimum to have something to eat in England, “a poor Law Amendment Act 1834” was done; this resulted in governments of the day setting up “clubs of workhouses” in which the paupers were to live…. In a way this was as if guaranteeing them an even more miserable time; here widows and orphans lived. The work reform Act decided that children under nine years old should not work, strangely the Law makers seemed oblivious to the reality that children were not working for fun, but survival due to poverty……..surely Childcare has come a long way. Oxford Open College is Giving new ideas to the learner/practitioner of how best to present material; the Course is implementation of good practice; sharing knowledge and experience: Therefore, this book only offers guidance, ideas; pointers of the best responses to commonly asked topical questions in the UK, NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Childcare. The suggested responses are exhaustive. The selected topics are based on real units and questions or tasks. Oxford Open College have used personal experience in “practicing Childcare settings:” This experience is what has been used to address most of the topics, questions; drawing from real life situations of safeguarding and caring for Children. The Course text book is written in the first person context I or in My setting so that the upgrading or aspiring practitioner can put themselves in the context of what is happening in their own situation or setting in order to draw parallels and learn by inclusion and participation of shared experience and good practice towards safeguarding, playing with and development of; Children. Oxford Open College provides aspiring practitioners with a preamble in form of a model self-evaluation of a childcare setting, to help practitioners evaluate own provisions. Oxford Open College recognises that there are key factors of how to deal with different situations and a summary of headings of usable policies that can be developed by a starting practitioner. Oxford Open College ensures that the course will include “Advice” for practitioners and learners to deal with various situations such as learning differences, bullying and keeping an outstanding setting.
