Phlebotomy/Venepuncture Live Practical and competency sign off The Practical session includes live Phlebotomy in our clinic in North London. You will be observing and be observed under supervision of a competent professional to take live blood samples.

The general dentist will be able to assess, diagnose and provide basic aligner therapy. They will understand the role of aligners in orthodontics in conjunction with the advantages and limitations. The hands-on component will enable the delegates to feel more competent in providing the basic units of treatment involved in aligner orthodontics which include the placement of attachments, interproximal reduction, and intraoral scanning.

Course Details Aims This mental health awareness training course is a mandatory requirement for working within health and social care. The course forms standard 9 of The Care Certificate. All staff working with individuals who suffer with mental health should take this course. This is an online course sat at your own pace to introduce you to clinical coaching. During the course we will go into the concept of training a student, learning methods, tutorial techniques, safeguarding and how to use the Central Skills Log (CSL). The course is open for 2 months. Once completed we can then arrange access to the CSL for one of Abbeydale’s students.

Our experienced trainer will provide competence assessment for the whole day. You need to book clients in for ear irrigation and you need a minimum number of clients which we will discuss with you upon booking.  If travel is required within a 25 miles radius we will charge travel expenses on top of the fee we charge.

Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally. Know how to safely use an automated external defibrillator. Be able to safely use an automated external defibrillator. Who should attend? This qualification is for people who have a specific interest or responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, in being able to provide BLS when dealing with an emergency situation which may involve using an AED. Pre-requisites Students must be at least 16 years old on the first day of training. Assessment and Certifications Assessment for this course is continuous. Successful students will receive an Immerse Training Certificate, which is valid for one year. This certificate will be issued by Qualsafe, the awarding body for Immerse Training. Additional Information Completion of the Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator includes 1 credit at Level 2 of the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF). The Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an automated External Defibrillator is also recommended as an annual refresher for student who have successfully completed the QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF). From 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work (previously appointed person) to 3 day First Aid at Work courses. When there is a shooting, stabbing or bomb explosion the initial priority will be public safety. This can delay the time before the emergency services are able to reach the injured. Our 3 hour citizenAID course enables the general public to be effective in these situations before the emergency services are available to provide professional medical support. This course can be delivered on-site or at our training centre in Poole, Dorset. Qualification Information This qualification and learning outcomes are based on the blended recommendations of: European Resuscitation Council, Section 9. First Aid British Army, Battlefield Casualty Drills Course Content Following this course students will: Be able to use the citizenAID app/pocket guide in an emergency situation. Be able to provide immediate first aid to an unresponsive casualty who is breathing. Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with severe external bleeding. Who should attend? This qualification is for all members of the public who wish to learn lifesaving skills and techniques in the event of a deliberate multiple casualty incident. Pre-requisites Students must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training. Assessment and Certifications Assessment of this course is continuous and will take place through knowledge and skills observations. Successful students will receive an Immerse Training Certificate, which is valid for three years. This certificate will be issued by Qualsafe, the awarding body for Immerse Training.
