Honestly, I can be doing a webinar, or hosting a talk on just about any unschooling subject and gaming always comes up in the Q&A. I’m going to age myself by recalling the days when we had to sit and wait for dial up internet connection and gaming had a very minor role in our day to day lives. The standard of games. The variety. The choices in game play. I wonder if the uncertainty for us comes from it not being a normal part of our lives when we were growing up. But, it is part of your child’s life. It is part of their norm. And it is here to stay.
