POPIA ONLINE: Praxis Of Presence In Action - Responding In Crazy Times

By Potent 6

What you learn, will equip you to act wholeheartedly, wisely and joyfully in all aspects of your life. About this Event Your present was made in the past. Your future is created in the present... ... NOT by what you do tomorrow but… …by what you do and don’t do today …by what you say and don’t say today …by what you see and feel and think today … by what you miss, deny, ignore, distort today Presence in Action (TM) is for leaders, coaches, artists, musicians, supervisors, health professionals, teachers, parents, students - in fact it is for EVERYONE committed to doing something to change themselves, their lives, their relationships, their prospects. What you learn, will equip you to act wisely, wholeheartedly and joyfully in all aspects of your life.  You will learn to use the P6 Constellation as a Presence in Action framework to assist you in deepening and extending your efficacy and artistry in and with life. Through practice you will become better able to see, adapt, communicate and take coherent action in any and all circumstances. You will develop the wherewithal to get unstuck and to liberate yourself into flow. With practice you will find yourself ever more skilled in navigating the complexities and challenges you face, whatever the context. For practitioners working with others, you will find your personal and professional practice increasingly enhanced by the insights you gain. Irrespective of what you do and who you are in life, this programme will open up for you, new ways of seeing, understanding and being in the world. It will deliver joys and surprises; it will be challenging and sometimes a bit confusing. This is coherent with the nature of this unusual learning experience. It will call on each of you to let go of what you think you know in order to discover what is currently beyond sight or reach. Through this process you will find yourselves increasingly liberated from the fictions that bind and blind you - that prevent you being and becoming your full potential. During our time together we will make connections between ancient wisdoms and new sciences - helping you to connect to wider patterns in nature and the wider world. We will... ...dive deep and stretch high ...reach outwards and touch inwards ...explore what happens within and between us ...engage lovingly and boldly with our deepest selves ...experiment with ancient wisdom and embodied knowhow ...play wholly and wholeheartedly as ourselves, in action together ...connect where the sacred meets the systemic within, between and beyond Throughout our time together, we will share, experience, reflect, play, practice and learn together. I will introduce you to models, frameworks and theories that can help you make sense of your experiences and insights. You will engage in solo work, paired practice and whole group activities. We will take advantage of all our senses and sense-making - using our bodies, minds and spirits, not in isolation but as the integrated whole beings that we are.

Music theory is the understanding of how music works. It's knowing why certain. music makes you feel happy, or why the soundtrack in action films makes the visuals so much more exciting. It's also an integral part of any music student's learning journey. For years it's been packaged as a boring set of rules which must be learned simply to pass an exam, but we aim to change this. Most music students will already have some knowledge of music theory, so each of our students receive a unique course plan which only covers topics they haven't already learned. On top of this, every student is paired with their own personal music theory tutor who supports their learning throughout their time on the course. More than a memory test Our aim is to teach our students to understand the logic and process behind every topic, rather than simply memorise lots of data to pass an exam. We know that the more deeply something is understood, the less likely it is to be forgotten.  Regular feedback to keep you on track Even with the best intentions, buying workbooks and downloading worksheets can't guarantee that the work will get done. As soon as we know what your goal is, we aim to help you get there in the most efficient time possible. Your tutor will set you work for each week and we will send you reminders when work is due.  Less pressure on instrumental teachers As a lot of our tutors are also instrumental music teachers, we know how hard it can be to fit music theory into a flute/trumpet/violin lesson, and we think that your instrumental teacher should be able to give their full attention to helping you improve on your chosen instrument. Get your money's worth from your instrumental lessons, whilst we get you through your theory exam.

Cameron Spencer - Piano Teacher, Online Music Lessons

cameron spencer - piano teacher, online music lessons

Somerton

My name is Cameron and I am a 27 year old keys player specialising in Rock, Blues, R&B, Funk and Soul music. I started playing the piano aged 8 and have been passionate about music ever since. I have many years’ experience providing piano lessons to people of all ages and abilities, in person, in schools and online. Companies I've previously worked for include Open2Music and Private Music Lessons UK. I can also teach students Classical and advanced music theory to a high standard. I produce many of my own documents to aid students’ learning and use methodical but fun teaching methods. With a diverse knowledge of subjects such as music culture/history and technology, I aim to give students a broad overview of all things music related. Education: After working through the ABRSM Classical and Jazz grades, I began studying Music and Music Tech A levels at college. From 2014 to 2016, I was tutored by highly regarded industry professionals such as Brian Henry (Soul II Soul, Mica Paris) and Frank Tontoh (Amy Winehouse, George Michael) at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, where I achieved a 2:1 in Professional Music Performance. Experience: I have a wealth of experience teaching the piano (and music in general) to children and adults of all ages and abilities, either at home, in a school environment, or online. Resources: I have created many useful documents over the years, catering to people of all ages and abilities. I also produced a single document called 'Essential Music Theory' featuring lots of information about scales, chords, progressions, melodic features, improvisation and ear training. Teaching online: Online tuition is useful as it is convenient for both the student and the teacher, especially when they are many miles away from each other. I have taught many students via Zoom and find it to be a useful and enjoyable experience. I have access to a reliable, fast internet connection and know how to deal with any issues that may arise. I can play the piano in software like Logic Pro X and this can be heard very clearly by the student on the other end (any audio I play my end can be heard). Students can also see what notes/chords I'm playing via screen-sharing and an app called 'ChordieApp'.
