Being Prepared for CQC's New Assessment Framework Course

This half day course is designed to help participants learn more about the new legal form for charities, the Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), which was introduced in January 2013. The session will set the context and background to the introduction of the CIO, explore its potential benefits (and weaknesses) when set against the company limited by guarantee structure and introduce the two constitution models – the Foundation version (where only trustees are members) and the Association model (where the organisation’s membership is wider). By the end of the course participants should have a deeper knowledge of the subject so that they are able to make a more informed choice as to whether this legal entity might work for their organisation.

Mastering Critical Conversations: In-House Training We will explore various obstacles to delivering 'challenging' messages effectively, including those that come from the external environment as well as those we encounter internally. After gaining insight into the brain science behind the biology of conflict and emotion, we will then examine a 5-step framework for delivering difficult messages. Paired and small group activities comprise a large portion of this interactive course, which culminates in a role play. Puppy training classes and dog training classes are suitable for general dog training and relationship building. Classes are run in line with the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Traioners) code of ethics, and training techniques are based upon positive reinforcement, using dog treats or dog toys and play as rewards for completing the actions we ask the puppy or dog to complete.    Classes will be limited to 6 people, to ensure I can circulate and provide individual feedback relevant to your puppy or dog training. We will teach foundation behaviours, with the benefit of being in a dog training class environment, which relies on your dog working around the distraction of other dogs. Classes will also teach you to effectively communicate with your dog and give you the skills to practice outside of classes and implement the training in your every day life, in a rage of environments. Puppy training classes and Dog training classes last 1 hour. They are run on Friday mornings in Bishop's Stortford.
