At Impact Gym we offer a range of classes to suit all ability levels from the beginner to the advanced athlete. Our team of fully qualified coaches are here to help you get the very best out of your martial arts journey be that fitness, self defence or competition goals. We offer a full juniors program at the gym catering for children from 4 to 15 years old covering Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Submission Grappling and Kickboxing with options to compete in these disciplines. Our adult programs cover Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Submission Grappling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), Wrestling, Kickboxing, Boxing and Judo. We work with members of the general public looking to get fitter, build confidence and learn a new skill all the way up to amateur and professional athletes. Impact Gym is proud to have champions in both MMA and Grappling as well as coaches competing at amateur and professional level.

Bristol Titans is a modern Krav Maga academy. We use a complete system of self defence, utilising our 20+ years background in Krav Maga, MMA and first hand experience in the professional security and bodyguarding industry. We use techniques from Muay Thai, Boxing, Catch Wrestling and BJJ as well as Krav Maga to become specialists of integrated combat styles. TRAIN TO BE EFFECTIVE WHEREVER THE FIGHT TAKES YOU… Stand up: Our Krav Maga program teaches you effective boxing, muay thai and mma stand up fighting including sparring from the beginning. We train fighters to be effective in critical self defence situations Grappling: Our grappling curriculum trains you to be an efficient fighter from stand up clinch fighting, to takedowns, escapes, sweeps, chokes, breaks and locks on the ground from jiu jitsu and Catch Wrestling. Modern Weapons Training: In the UK nearly 25% of fights involve the use of a weapon. We teach our members to be effective in these areas, to be able to identify weapon threats and to make educated decisions on how to handle them. How to disarm a weapon and also weapon retention techniques and how to seamlessly integrate this into your standup and ground game.

The Old Bristolians’ Society exists to allow former pupils and staff to maintain contact with other Old Bristolians, and through the Society allow them to support the work of the School. The Society is a separate body from the School and is run almost exclusively by volunteers. The President holds office for a year: other officers and members of the Management Committee are chosen by election and normally stay in office for a longer period. We are always keen to recruit new faces on to the Committee or hear from Old Bristolians prepared to help with the running of events. In particular, we seek more involvement from young Old Bristolians, especially females, in order to reflect the co-educational status of the School. The BGS Foundation aims to bring long-term additional income to the School through charitable giving. This enables the wider BGS family to give something back so that the next generation of children can benefit from extra resources, facilities and bursaries which could not otherwise be afforded from fee income alone. Support comes from parents, former parents, staff and Governors, Old Bristolians, charitable trusts and foundations which makes a genuine difference to the life of our school. The Old Bristolians’ & Foundation Office would be delighted to hear from anyone willing to serve on the Committee or to participate in some other way. In addition, the views of Old Bristolians as to the type of event/activities the Society should be providing are also welcomed.
