We are an independent, non-denominational charity providing holistic values-related education programmes for teachers and schools. With over 25 years of experience, we share our knowledge and experience so as to promote better outcomes for young citizens, both academically and as empowered, happy, healthy individuals who feel capable of fulfilling their true potential, whatever their starting points in life. Not only have we been supplying practical, personal development and wellbeing programmes for a generation of learners aged from 4 to 14 but we also provide training in Values Education, an element in the school curriculum that is becoming increasingly significant as the topic of values becomes ever more mainstream and as the understanding of how values affect and impact people’s thinking, decision-making, actions and wellbeing grows. The intense focus on academic outcomes during the past two decades has been at the expense of many children’s mental health and wellbeing, and this has brought into focus the urgent need for a shift in education practices towards rounded, whole-child development. This approach has always been central to our work. There are few opportunities for teachers during their initial teacher training and continuing professional development to learn about the role of values in our day-to-day lives and to appreciate how they can be proactively used to nurture and empower individuals to progressively gain character strengths, social and emotional skills and personal qualities that are essential for their happiness, health and capacity to maximise their talents and abilities. This is the gap we fill.

Catering for all ages from Primary to GCSE level and adults, here at Global Learners Academy we are teachers who understand that everyone is different and that every need is important.  We understand the pressures of every day life upon families and the highly increasing need for them to support their loved ones in education - at whatever age they to come to it.  We aim to provide only the assistance and guidance that is absolutely necessary for each individual to succeed to the best of their ability. In our first meetings we will carry out a thorough assessment of the learner's reading, mathematics and literacy (including grammar) ability. From that, we will carry out an extensive gap analysis to ascertain where gaps and weaknesses are in their core knowledge of the English National Curriculum principles.  We will then provide you with a full report of these strengths and weaknesses with suggestions for the most appropriate package for them. All of our teachers that carry out the asessment are trained and experienced practitioners in the English National Curriculum, so designing a high quality package that is individually tailored to the learner's needs is something that we can provide.  You can choose from the full courses on offer or opt to pay per session using the book now feature.

Family Voice Surrey champions the needs and rights of SEND families in Surrey: families with children or young adults up to the age of 25 who have special educational needs, chronic illnesses, including mental health conditions, or disabilities. Family Voice Surrey was set up in 2010 and became a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) in 2017. We are always pleased to hear from new members who would like to be more involved. Check out our 'Get Involved' tab for more information. The role of Parent Carer Forums is recognised in the Children and Families Act 2014, providing a platform for us in Surrey as the official voice of parent carers of children and young people with additional needs. We gather and represent the parent carer views in meetings concerning implementation of SEND legislation and planning and delivery of SEND services, working with representatives from the local authority, local schools, and health. We also build strong relationships with other Surrey-based organisations working in different ways to support children and young people with additional needs.
