He received a Master's degree in Law from the University of Utrecht in 1987. He started his career at the NLKKAS, the Clearing House of the Commodity Futures Exchange in Amsterdam. After working for the NLKKAS for five years, he was appointed as Member of the Management Board of the Agricultural Futures Exchange (ATA) in Amsterdam at the age of 31. While working for the Clearing House and exchange, he became an expert in all the aspects of trading and risk management of commodities. In 1997, he founded his own specialist-consulting firm that provides strategic advice about (energy) commodity markets, trading and risk management. He has advised government agencies such as the European Commission, investment banks, major utilities, and commodity trading companies and various energy exchanges and market places in Europe, CEE countries, North America and Asia. Some of the issues he has advised on are the development and implementation of a Risk Management Framework, investment strategies, trading and hedging strategies, initiation of Power Exchanges (APX) and other trading platforms, the set-up of (OTC) Clearing facilities, and feasibility and market studies like for the Oil, LNG and the Carbon Market. The latest additions are (Corporate) PPAs and Artificial Intelligence for energy firms. He has given numerous seminars, workshops and (in-house) training sessions about both the physical and financial trading and risk management of commodity and carbon products. The courses have been given to companies all over the world, in countries like Japan, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Malaysia, China, India, Belgium and the Netherlands. About Alexistyle Alexis Ruiz started dancing and playing instruments almost before he could walk. Growing up in Antigua, Guatemala, his mother taught him to dance and teach together with her at her school Ritmo Latino. At the age of 12 he started teaching Salsa/Mambo and a diverse variety of Latin dances and Latin percussion. He has since then been teaching for over 25 years. At the age of 17, he moved to Japan where he opened his own dance school and created his own Latin jazz sextet "Foribale". He became an ambassador for Salsa in Japan, and travelled the world representing Japan at different congresses. The name "Alexistyle" was given to him by the legendary, Albert Torres. Mr Torres later awarded Alexis with an honorary award for his work in Japan, while teaching and performing at Los Angeles Salsa Congress. After 8 years in Japan, he moved to Norway. There he introduced the musicality of Mambo to the Salsa community in Norway, and his concept of Mambo Masterclass was born. Since then he has trained Norwegian champions, taught around the world on elite level, including London's leading Mambo School Funky Mambo, and created a vocabulary and a methodology that is completely unique. He is world famous for his lectures about "Salsa roots" where he dives into the history of both the music and the dance, and also the different musical influences in Salsa. He has an extensive background in Latin music, Latin dance and sound. He is a full-time professional dancer and musician. He got a degree in Afro-Cuban dances and percussion at "Conjunto Folklorico Nacional De Cuba", and has a Bachelor in sound engineering from Westerdals ACT, and is actively working on various TV and film projects. He has his own sound engineering company called AlphaRhythm. You can find his music on Spotify, iTunes and more. This course is for production operations engineers, operations field supervisors, facility engineers, process engineers, design engineers, operations personnel and others who select, design, install, evaluate or operate gas processing plants and related facilities. Course Level Intermediate Trainer Your expert course leader has more than 25 years of accumulated experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, particularly in LNG / Offshore LNG Industry as Project Manager (8 years) and Process Technology Design (12 years). From 2010 to 2012, he worked for TOTAL E&P as Manager of R&D activities related to LNG, FLNG, Gas Treatment and Safety Engineering. From 1992 to 2010, he worked for Technip, spending 12 years (1992 to 2004) in the Process and Technology Division, where he was the Principal Engineer on gas treatment and LNG projects such as Yemen LNG and Nigeria LNG. From 2004 to 2010, he was actively involved in the development of Technip Offshore LNG technologies as Project Manager - several patents filed, author or co-author of different publications on LNG transfer technologies. He has also been a member of: the Foreign Advisory Committee on the 2nd Trondheim Technology Gas Conference, Norway, 2-3 November 2011 the Steering Committee on the SPE Forum 'Economic and Sustainability Challenges in the Future Development of Sour Gas', Bali, Indonesia, 8-13 May 2011 The Technip 'Experts Network' as 'Main Expert - LNG' for several years He holds a 'summa cum laude' master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Rome University 'La apienza' (1992) and has been a member of the Italian Register of Engineers.
