PACE was developed by Dr Dan Hughes (a clinical psychologist specialising in childhood trauma) more than 20 years ago as a central part of attachment-focused family therapy. It was created with the aim of supporting adults to build safe, trusting and meaningful relationships with children and young people who have experienced trauma. The approach focuses on building trusting relationships, emotional connections, containment of emotions and a sense of security.  PACE is a way of thinking, feeling, communicating and behaving that aims to make the child feel safe. Its four principles of communication – Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy – facilitate the building of healthy, secure attachments between caregiver and child. PACE parenting is especially effective for supporting children that lack secure emotional bases. Our 201 Enthusiast detailing day was created for the hyper enthusiast who wants to correct and enhance their own vehicle, rather than just care for it. If you've attended our 101 Enthusiast, you're all covered skills-wise for the prior knowledge element, but for all others to benefit from this event you will need a solid knowledge of preparation work and wash procedure, as this is mostly focused on what comes after - namely paint correction. This is an intensive one-day group course, and there is time allotted at the end of the session to inspect your own vehicles if you need advice on particular issues. Our 201 Enthusiast detailing day was created for the hyper-enthusiast who wants to correct and enhance their own vehicle, rather than just care for it. If you've attended our 101 Enthusiast, you're all covered skills-wise for the prior knowledge element, but for all others to benefit from this event you will need a solid knowledge of preparation work and wash procedure, as this is mostly focused on what comes after - namely paint correction. Night Rating If you want to fly in the hours of darkness you will need to add a night qualification to your licence. This involves 10 hours of instrument flying and 5 hours of flying at night. You will practice night navigation techniques, in flight emergencies and how to deal with them, flight by sole reference to instruments, airfield night lighting and procedure and pre-flight decision making. Course Prerequisites Licence Held: PPL(H) Minimum Flying Hours: 100 hrs after licence issue which must include 60hrs Pilot in Command. 20hrs Cross Country. Course Duration: Must be complete within 6 months of starting. When is Night? It may seem like a silly question but there is a legal definition for aviation purposes, and that is half an hour after sunset to half an hour before sunrise.
