The AC Group is a Derbyshire based family run business that works with schools and other organisations, offering a range of teaching services. For the last 10 years the AC Group has been delivering alternative educational provision to children, using a social pedagogy approach, usually on a one to one basis. We were founded in 2017 by Chrissa Wadlow after her own gruelling battle to gain her daughter a suitable education provision. Her journey, littered with injustice, was filled with a catalogue of errors and the family received very limited help from services they thought they could trust, creating irreparable damage for the entire family. It took 2 SEND tribunals, a high court case and one final SEND tribunal for Chrissa to gain the educational placement her daughter needed. It shouldn’t be this hard. Chrissa could not allow this to continue to happen, and so formed Sunshine Support to help other families navigate their way through the process of Special Educational Needs to ensure they received the RIGHT advice and guidance from trustworthy experts. Her story has inspired thousands of families to seek justice and exercise their right to the law.

napa nottingham academy of performing arts

In 2009 Margaret Saint decided she wanted to set up a performing arts Saturday group which would be a friendly and affordable environment for children to come and learn to perform, make friends and gain confidence. Originally set up as part of a franchise she soon realised that she couldn't offer everything she wanted to and so she decided to start up a completely independent school, and the Nottingham Academy of Performing Arts was born. In the past 11 years we have helped children and adults to grow in confidence and get the chance to perform in a variety of different styles of production and above all have fun. INFORMATION LOCATION We are currently located at the Redhill Academy in Arnold, Nottingham where we have access to several different rehearsal spaces and a stage on which we perform many of our productions. There is easy bus route access as well as parking on site. Classes run every Saturday (apart from August and 2 weeks over Christmas). Please see our classes page for more information. Welcome to Foxwood Academy and welcome to our website. Hopefully, you will find all of the information you need on our website but if you have any specific questions you can contact us directly at the Academy. The ‘Help for Everyone’ drop down menu on the far right hand side provides you with clips and links to videos that you might find really useful and the ‘Site Map’ section in the ‘About Us’ menu will take you to a list of everything on the website. We are a school for children and young people with SEND but also a school for parents and carers. We want to provide you with the support and help that you might need and hopefully this website is your first stop. The children, young people and staff at Foxwood are remarkable. We have just over 110 children and young people and approximately 60 staff. Our youngest children start at age 4 and our oldest leave us at the age of 18. All of our children and young people have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) and all of our children have difficulties with cognition and learning. About 75% of our children would be described as children and young people with an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC or sometimes called ASD) and others can be described as having Sensory and /or Physical needs. We have a very strong set of core values here at Foxwood that guide us in every decision and action that we take. We believe in: Education – That every child with a special educational need deserves the best possible education available provided by the best teachers in the best schools and Academies. Independence – That every child and young person is given the opportunity to be as independent as they possibly can be. Celebration – That the children and young people should be happy here and celebrate their part in our community. Learning for Life – That Foxwood is a stepping-stone to bright futures. Futures where young adults can be happy, healthy, independent, and play an active part in society. Lots of parents and carers contact the Academy and the website to see if our context; or the children and young people that we teach, are similar to their children and young people at home.
