Emergency First Aid at Work delivered by healthcare professionals - Educating through Experience

Puppy training classes and dog training classes are suitable for general dog training and relationship building. Classes are run in line with the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Traioners) code of ethics, and training techniques are based upon positive reinforcement, using dog treats or dog toys and play as rewards for completing the actions we ask the puppy or dog to complete.    Classes will be limited to 6 people, to ensure I can circulate and provide individual feedback relevant to your puppy or dog training. We will teach foundation behaviours, with the benefit of being in a dog training class environment, which relies on your dog working around the distraction of other dogs. Classes will also teach you to effectively communicate with your dog and give you the skills to practice outside of classes and implement the training in your every day life, in a rage of environments. Puppy training classes and Dog training classes last 1 hour. They are run on Friday mornings in Bishop's Stortford. Anaphylaxis is a severe and life-threatening allergic reaction, which requires immediate medical attention. With the number of sufferers increasing each year, it is extremely important to know what to do when faced with this acute emergency condition.  The QA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis (RQF) qualification has been designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, at home or in voluntary and community activities, to provide basic life support and manage anaphylaxis when dealing with an emergency. Successful candidates will be able to recognise the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis, and will be equipped with the vital skills needed to administer safe, prompt and effective treatment.

It is suitable for all employees working in a range of environments, as well as employees returning to work or entering work for the first time.  With all subjects covered in just 4 hours, this regulated and nationally recognised qualification is ideal for providing employees with a basic understanding of workplace health and safety whilst helping employers to fulfil their legal duties.

Did you know that incorrect manual handling is one of the most common causes of injury at work?  The QA Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, designed to cover the basic principles of manual handling.  This theory-based qualification is ideal for all employees as it provides candidates with an awareness of safe manual handling practices and the risks of unsafe manual handling.  With subjects covered in just half a day, this course is an ideal way to reduce the risk of workplace manual handling injuries, whilst minimising disruption to your organisation’s day to day activities!  Please note that this qualification does not include practical sessions. Those requiring practical training should undertake the QA Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF).

The QA Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who want to increase their awareness of fire safety in the workplace.  Candidates will learn basic fire safety principles in order to ensure they are keeping themselves and others in the workplace safe at all times. They will also learn what to do in the event of an emergency and the simple measures that can be taken to control the risk of fires.  With subjects covered in just half a day, this course is an ideal way to ensure that all employees have a good understanding of fire safety, whilst minimising disruption to your organisation’s day to day activity.

Paint Some Pottery With Your Friends! These adult-only painting sessions run every month 6.30-9. 30pm. Pay for your chosen seat/table inc studio fee, welcome drink, half a large pizza, salad and coleslaw, dessert, coffee & mints. Select an item of pottery to paint on the night (sold seperately) and enjoy your evening. Our studio team will be on hand to offer advice, tips and suggestions on techniques that may help you where you want it. These evenings are relaxed and friendly and the ideal opportunity to have some fun in a creative atmosphere! 😁 Please note once painted your pottery will be glazed & fired and ready for collection 7-10 days later. You are welcome to BYOB on the night (glasses and ice provided at no extra charge). If you have a big appetite & would like a full Pizza please add this on at checkout. Menu will be sent with Pizza & Dessert choices once booked. The Pizza's are from Monte Cristo, a local restaurant.
