NVQ Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety This qualification is aimed at candidates working as a health and safety practitioner, in a position of responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of a team or organisation. Induction - As soon as you register you will be given a dedicated assessor. They will arrange an induction and together with your assessor you'll get to decide on the pathway which best proves your competency. The induction is used to plan out how you will gather the relevant evidence to complete the course. During the course - The assessor will work with you to build a portfolio of evidence that allows you to showcase your knowledge, skills and experience. The assessor will also regularly review and provide you with feedback. This will allow you to keep on track to progress quickly. You will be assessed through various methods such as observations, written questions, evidence generated from the workplace, professional discussion and witness testimonials. On completion - Once all feedback has been agreed, the Internal Quality Assurer will review your portfolio and in agreement with your assessor the certificate will be applied for. This course is aimed at health and social care staff who are both registered and unregistered, who work with or support individuals where safeguarding concerns are a possibility.

This 6-hour qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help.

Leading mental health for supervisors, team leaders and managers is about leading your team and mental health first aiders to a healthy productive way, increasing respect, getting a mutual understanding for todays and tomorrows workforce.

The course is a four-hour refresher session for those who have completed the Mental Health First Aid two day course. Just like physical first aid, we recommend you refresh your skills regularly and keep up-to-date.

The Emergency First Aid At Work course covers worst case scenarios and some of the more common minor injuries. It is aimed at those working in lower risk areas such as offices and shops. You will need to attend a full 7 hours of trining (breaks included) First Aid Training at Splat is relaxed and enjoyable. We aim to help you learn and support you to get what you need from the day. There are some practical and some multiple-choice assessments but our job is to ensure you have everything you need to pass these easily. Please note that First Aid can be quite physical, you will need to be able to kneel on the floor to perform CPR and Recovery Position. Please wear comfortable clothing you can move around in, and, if possible, please let us know ahead of time if there is anything we can do to help support you and your enjoyment of the day.
