The Snobby Dogs Refresh & Improve Dog Grooming Course is designed to assist qualified or experienced dog groomers in improving their grooming techniques and methods. The course will help dog groomers with their professional techniques such as bathing, drying, scissoring, styling and shaping. The course will cover Correct and safe handling of dogs Health Checking of a dog Drying dogs and prepare their coats for styling Scissor techniques Use of comb attachments Styling techniques Nail and ear care Students will receive all course materials and it is recommended that students bring along a camera for before and after photographs as well as pens, high-lighters and notepads. Throughout the phlebotomy training course for beginners, you will look at the theory behind phlebotomy and be allowed to develop your practical skill using the most up to date techniques and equipment. The course covers all of the competencies set out in CHS132 (National Occupational Standard for Phlebotomy). Once completed, you will have all of the skills and knowledge necessary to work as a phlebotomist. Course prerequisites This course is suitable for both medics and non-medics.  A minimum of 21 years of age Good command of English Able to learn independently Course structure You are required to complete an online study and eight practical hours onsite. All courses are kept intimate with six learners in a class. Our one day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course covers all the subjects required by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to make this an approved course. However, if you have particular risks in your workplace please let us know in advance of the course so that we can tailor your time with us to include training in those area.  This course provides basic life saving first aid skills and knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, covering: Adult resuscitation (CPR) Burns and scalds Choking adult Communication and casualty care Defibrillator (AED) prompts and pad placement Minor and severe bleeding Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations) Seizures Shock Unresponsive adult Catastrophic bleeding can be added as an optional module for workplaces that require it following your first aid needs assessment.
